I've been shedding heavily since I was 18, am currently 21. I've been on propecia for the past 5-6 months, nizoral the past 2 months, and rogaine the past month and am starting to have minute results. One of my biggest conflicts while experiencing hair loss is the fact that I've been breakdancing for several years and am starting to break into the public competing ring for bboying (breakdancing). As you know, any harsh impact on the hair causes a whole lot more shedding and sincere scalp damage. I use my head for a lot of my big moves and am now finding myself backing off to save my hair. It's sad to see hair loss get in the way of my competitive nature especially at something I'm talented at and have been doing longer that I've been losing hair. On the positive side since I haven't been practicing a whole lot of moves using my head I've learned many other difficult moves. However, it's still sad because your head is extremely important in dancing. Just here to vent and relate to any of you other athletes that lose hair because of helmet, wrestling, or dancing. If you haven't seen professional breakdancing here's a vid to give you guys an idea of how much stress we put our hair under: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qTcXxVOM4B0
If you are going through the same thing let me know.
^THIS! That's the real issue here, not weather you have enough hair padding for your headspins. :roll:Beingbaldsucks said:It's simple, break dancing= young, baldness=old
