At 26. I should have noticed sooner but I was an idiot, i assumed my hair thinning was due to increasing length, tangles and getting pulled out, didn't pay attention to my hairline. I didn't realise until someone mentioned my scalp was red after a day of filming as an extra on a tv show called Vikings. I was almost 27 and much farther gone than I should have known.

16 my hairloss was really bad and still it is! I couldn't do anything that time as i didn't know anyway to stop it. I just hope i regrow everything back.

Jeez, I feel pretty fortunate after reading this thread.

Didn't really notice at all until 26 and I'm still doing alright now (28 in April). If I'm able to maintain for the next 7-8 years I'll be a happy camper. I believe I have the same pattern as my dad which is temple recession but still a good crown and a bit of a forelock.

Its the same with me, Only temples and a few strands in the front. Still it would have been great if the temples came back with full thickness. If it stayed exactly as it is now I d be content I guess.

Really hit me last summer at 21... but my barber told me for the past year that my hair was in a mature hairline and thin, but she said it was weird because i had ALOT of thin hair.. and now i feel myself losing that volume i had... cant wait to get back on fkn finasteride... though i do feel generally happier about life, on this 2nd week without finasteride

so id say it probably started at 18, my hair used to be so thick i had to straighten it.. now if i straighten i dont even wanna think how thin it would look
