I don't. I've suffered from mental illness and still do to a degree. I have been suicidal and came very close to ending it all. I can't speak for anyone else, but where I've suggested that, it's because I thought it might help, and that I'm not qualified to do so.

I think it depends on what how your life was before hair loss began. For me I've been growing through depression for 5 years now without any help. I'm not suicidal, but I do tend to be more isolated I guess you can say. Every year a new problem showed up, I became depressed over that problem for the whole year. Then the next year I said to myself, **** it I could live with this certain problem, a lot of people do. When you're trying to recover, and a new problem shows up after you've recovered from the previous problem, it's the worst feeling. If I don't tackle my hair loss now, then where will I get the courage to tackle other problems in the future. That's why I hate when people say it's just hair loss; if you're proactive about the small things in life, then once the bigger things hit you, you will never know how to face them.

I love all you guys but this thread needs to be locked, as you've all already pointed out.

Let's use a little better judgment when *creating* a thread like this too. Just because you feel depressed isn't a reason to create a thread that may adversely affect others.
