in the daily mail newspaper today there was a article about baldness treatments,
they gave products marks out of ten, there was a product called 'hormone drops' the arcticle says its applied topically, its prescription only, and men who use it RARELY loose anymore hair, it was given 7/10 for preventing hairloss, and said side effects -none

they gave marks out of 10 :
propecia got 6/10
minoxidil got 5/10
saw palmetto got 0/10

wtf is this there talking about, has spironolactone or something else been approved for hairloss in the uk ????

I saw this article and thought it was quite poor. Nevertheless i saw the hormone drops and thought 'WTF are they and why have i not heard of them before'.... even if they may be sh*t.

The article was an extract from a book called 'the hairloss bible' The fact that they gave minoxdil the same regrowth score as propecia led me to believe they don't know as much about hairloss as me and maybe i should write a book about hairloss if you don't even need the information given to be overly correct.

Wait a minute i forgot to add that the article praised the Mayer flap procedure and said it was as good and safe as a hair transplant.

and this was what i was talking about being overly correct, since there are question marks over the Mayer flap.

Sooo what do you think the title should be for my book on hairloss? a stark 'HAIRLOSS' ?? Maybe a little to simple, 'Who put an egg on my head?'

I'll keep working on it.

no it was defiantly for men, i have kept the article.

anyway the man who was behind the article was a 'PHILIP KINGSLEY' has anyone heard of him ? is he a scam artist ?

so i emailed his London clinic to ask him about these 'HORMONE DROPS'
that were supposedly on prescription and so sucessful

i got a email back saying,from one of his staff saying that it is his clinic's own formula,but it is still a prescription product, blah blah, claiming loads of satisfied clients,and if i would like to know more, ring them up.

i may ring them up and ask them what the main ingrediant of this so called super dht topical, that they claim is so sucessful,

im going to ring them tomorrow anyway,i want to know what the ingrediant/s is,because they said in their email,the consultant fee to see MR.Kingsley is a hefty £175 or £125 to see one of there other consultants and i dont want to pay that if its just spironolactone,as im using that anyway

i would put my email up to them and their response to me, but i havnt got a clue how to put it on this forum(just got my pc dont know how to do sh*t yet lol) if someone really wants me too, i'll ask one of me mates how to do it.and i'll put it up,but there's no great information in it.

but anyway there's the number if anyone in the UK wants to ring them

I just googled Philip Kingsley - this is what came up

looks like a bunch of cosmetic shampoo's and things for "thin" hair - nothing specific about male pattern baldness

here is some blurb from his US site

"His internationally famous clinics in London and New York have created precise hair and scalp care products for nearly 100,000 clients - including Kate Winslet, Candice Bergen, Cher, Jerry Hall, Barbara Streisand, Ivana Trump and Sigourney Weaver"

So it was really just a PR piece for his "clinics"

yes i did call them, well first they wouldnt tell me what the ingrediants of these HORMONE DROPS are (what a suprise)telling me that they are there own formula and i would need to make a appointment, which is £125 then i would have to have blood tests, which they said is another £30, then they said i would need to see there doctor his fees are £50, and the drops cost £40 per month,

so i would have to pay out well over £200 just to find out,
for something that is probably just spironolactone anyway, needless to say i DIDNT make an appointment,

so really the advert yes was just a pimp for his products,

and the daily mail are a disgrace to allow such a bullsh*t article

the number is on the last page if anyone wants to ring them up,and try and get the information out of them.or just to call them wankers !
