bottom line is everybodys shallow, men, women it doesnt matter. im sure if there was a show where a dude had to pick from avg girls n then hot girls were plopped in front of him, he would immediately drop all the avg girls. i wish i could just look past appearances but its not gonna happen.
havin said that, i do feel like girls have the upper hand on guys n can be a lot more picky than us if they so choose.

I'm 28 now, married for 5 months. Met my husband when I was 23. At the time, he was already losing hair and since then has lost a ton of hair. Honestly, it hasn't made ANY difference to me and I can only tell when I look at older photos and even then it's just like "ok, he's lost hair. So?"
It only bothers me because it bothers him and I don't like to see him sad.
A few days ago he shaved his head (well, a super short buzz, the closest to a total shave) and it looks great. I swear, I LOVE the look. I hope he keeps his head like that.
I was attracted to him because he is incredibly smart and not arrogant, not afraid to take chances (started med school now, at age 30) and is a caring, compassionate man. I do think he's a great looking guy (but I am biased) but not in your Jason type of way. I remember watching Average Joe and thinking that my husband is a goofball exactly like Adam. Maybe that's why I was rooting so hard for Adam

This place is a real hotspot and really brings in the horny younger girls 18- 21+ They just come up to the bar and flirt, sometimes I hook them with a free shot or something, you know light their cigerette, something like that. I never really have to work to hard because they are drunk most of the time. I usually work four nights a week Wednesday through Saturday. Saturday sucks because it is so damn busy- not much time for flirting.
My new recipe is to give the girls a few free trendy drinks that really pack a wallop like an incredible hulk then i lets the alcohol do the talking. Most of the time we head out to my ford Expidition and fold the seats down, I keep blankets in the back. This happens after closeing. Most of the girls love the feeling of being naughty in public.

I truly am just disgusted with most of humanity at the moment so forgive if any of what I say comes off bitter.
It's true we are all shallow to an extent. No one's perfect.
BUT, most of the women I know are NOT the evil shallow materialistic women I'm hearing about here. And, b/c it's so important for guys to know...the women I'm talking about are pretty and/or "hot". Of course, most of my women friends are either in relationships or married!
The truth is, that a lot of what you guys are complaining about also applies to a lot of women's experience trying to "deal" with men.
It's the eternal: men don't understand women and women don't understand men thing.
Oh, why couldn't I have been a Lesbian???? :lol:
Anyhoooooooooooo... this thread has provided much needed enjoyment and some interesting insights as well

If this were true (not that I believe for a second it is) do you ever think that perhaps at least part of the problem lies with you? I'm not saying that with a view to being cruel, but if everyone I'd attracted turned out to be shallow, unpleasant or cruel, I'd start to wonder whether there is was something about me that needs to be addressed.

Actually there is truth in these statements however I think it applies to varying degrees with everyone involved.
Another interesting observation is that the "upper hand" that you speak of flips around as a women ages (40 and above) in general in favor of the older man. You can thank our society's stereotypes for that one.
I don't totally agree with it ....but its still there.
