Avodart along with Finasteride

I was wondering if i would benefit more gains taking Avodart and Finasteride at the same time. Has anyone heard of anyone doing this treatment?

It's dangerous. It could has possible physical and mental implications-- especially gyno. Don't do it.

Hmm.. I read that avodart is supposedly better than propecia.. since it inhibits more DHT or 2 types of DHT. what do you think about this?

Do a little research into it. Go to dutasteride.org.... you'll find lots of info there!

Dutasteride, in theory, is a much better agent by which to treat male pattern baldness. I am currently taking it with, I know this is early to say, good results.

Finasteride is PROVEN and APPROVED for use in hair loss. Use this for 12 months. If it doesnt work then consider Dutasteride. Dont take them together.

You do know that Avodart has a much greater chance of gyno and all those "possible physical and mental implications" that Propecia may have. dont you?

and the only real difference in Propecia/Finasteride and Dustateride/Avodart is that dutasteride is much more powerful at blocking DHT and blocks two kinds of DHT instead of Fins one.
Any sides you'd get with Propecia WILL be much worse with dutasteride.

The second type of DHT which dutasteride blocks is not even (yet) known to have any implications on hairloss.

I am aware of all of these things. I have dedicated a lot of personal research and time into weighing my decision between finasteride and dutasteride.

Finasteride is an inhibitor of the enzyme type II 5 alpha reductase. It does not interact with DHT at all. This enzyme facilitates the conversion of testosterone to its more potent form DHT. This form of testosterone is the follicle "attacking" culprite. Now dutasteride on the other hand can inhibit type II alpha reductase AND type I alpha reductase. The result of which is it enables lower levels of serum DHT to be reached. It does not lower the levels of this magical "second type of DHT" that you have probably dreamed up. A little research goes a long way in this game.
