Hey all. Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm 22, been losing it since I was 16.

I finally made the move from finasteride to dutas. For once I decided to order name brand rather than the generics. I bought some Avodart dutasteride off of inhousepharmacy - same place I've been getting my finasteride for years.

I've always believed inhousepharmacy to be legit and when I shelled out the extra bucks for the Avodart, I was under the impression I would be getting the exact same stuff I would at a local US pharmacy. And while it did have the Avodart logo on the box, everything else was in Russian.

I'm concerned because Russia is known for producing fake pharmaceuticals.

I emailed them seeking an explanation and after 5 days I still have yet to recieve a response, which is rather odd because they normally respond within a day.

I'm not aiming to slander inhouse pharmacy but naturally I'm concerned. Can anyone here offer some insight as to why inhousepharmacy is selling drugs that were obviously intended for Russia?

Has anyone here else ordered Avodart from them and also recieved a box is Russian?

Any information would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

i think its probably legit but i dont know why you would switch from generics since its 5 times the price, and the real avodart from the internet has more of a chance to be fake then a generic.

This is very common. Unitedpharmacies sells Proscar with Turkish instructions. It doesn't mean the drugs were manufactured there it's just the market where they were intended to be sold. You don't expect to buy drugs in a foreign country with the instructions in English do you?

Actually

In fact, the sample Avodart box shown on InhousePharmacy's web site is in GREEK which bears some ressemblance to Russian cyrillic script but is in fact completely different.

You can rest assured that all the Greek written on the box is exactly the same as the English information on my UK avodart.

Thats always been the Russian way- just accept things blindly, don't question authority, shut up and take it etc etc

Devon65- if the writing is russian i would be on the phone to those 'people' at inhouse demanding to know why i'd been sold pills that were destined for one of the most corrupt countries on the planet.

Its your health you're playing with here!

Who cares where they were destined? You're not going to eat the box now, are you?

So long as the meds are good and not fake, all is fine.

A good way to test is to take five of them at once (don'ty worry, I do this every day and am not dead... yet! ). You should feel some side effects, as it's a heavy dose... if there's nothing, they might be fake.

Either you're an absolute lunatic or i've failed to detect some sarcasm.
