Re: Assignment's Story

if i where you , i would try some topical flutamide....
halve dose.... to avoid sides if you can....
i use it 30min before my minoxidil
there also days i just mix it up with my minoxidil (if i am in a hurry)
and get the mix on my hair....

i dont know if you use keto , it could do also great for you....
if hairgrow is dose dependant with your minoxidil , a higher dose could do the trick...

Hey Assignment!

First of all, the most important thing: You don't let your hairloss take over your life. You're a handsome dude, so you're still luck in that case.

It's still strange, that you've gotten those great results within 3-4 months and then lost all those gains so quickly. I don't think that 10 day break was the reason for that.

Did you change you regimen sources (where did you get your stuff anyway?)

Unfortunately, I don't think your 2 weeks of not using the foam did any damage. You just unfortunately have aggressive case of male pattern baldness, that is at the time of the year where it is accelerating again. I think minoxidil loses its effectiveness after about 3 years or maybe sooner for some people. All the gains, I made from minoxidil dwindled after about 3 years using it. I have accelerated loss in the last 9 months. And about 3 weeks ago I was having massive shedding in the shower. You may be in the middle of a synchronized shed too. I am hoping I am. Maybe, we both will get lucky in about 3 to 6 months, maybe things will thicken up again.

How about adding Xandrox 15%? last page.

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=48035&p=484234#p484234
Do you think you could possible reverse things with Xandrox15? The problem with that is you use 15 percent and build a tolerance to that and then you will need to go to 20 percent in a few years just to maintain? However, I am curious to see if you stop using minoxidil and restart it,if you can bring back all the hair you lost when you stopped.

My thinking is that since I had such a good response to 5% I mind as well give this a try. Will I build up tolerance again? Well, I probably will but I mind as well give it a try. Nothing like being a guinny pig for all those who are on the fence with Xandrox 15% right?

I am very curious too. I must say though, when I look closely at my hair in the mirror I still see a few hairs coming in thicker (so it starts thin at the end and gets thicker when it enters the scalp) but just the overall growth is not there. So 5% is still working for some hairs but clearly not all.

Thats really depressing =(. In your last update your hair looked great! it was an inspiration for me to get on meds but to think they can only last for a short period of time....is it even worth it. /sigh

Do you think your proscar could have been fake?

TRUST ME it's worth it. There is nothing like waking up in the morning and not having to think about hair.

And no chance the proscar was a fake. I get mine from a legit pharmacy in my city.

Thanks for the advice but I think I'll stick to the simple stuff (minoxidil, finasteride, nizoral). I've never heard of "flutamide." Anyone know of this stuff?

I was actually thinking the same thing!!! I used to get my rogaine foam on ebay from this one seller when I had all that regrowth but he stopped selling it...so I moved to another seller and this past 3-pack I bought was yet again from a different seller....you think that might be it?? Isn't rogaine foam all the same?

I buy the nizoral and finasteride from the same sources, never changed.

Re: Assignment's Story

Oh and my first intramural bball game today - huge! 10 points, roughly 15-20 boards...i am a monster on the floor.

This one kid was draining shots from the other team. My teammates had no idea how to guard him so I took him in the 2nd half...like flies on $hit. He was off all 2nd half.

We won by like 18 points.

Eff male pattern baldness.

Re: Assignment's Story

I was reading your story and looking at the pictures at page 5. And was thinking to reply that It is just great but since I saw your recent post things look not so great :(

Man I will tell you only one thing - don't give up. Go on Xandrox 15% or something and stick to it. You know it best :)
Wonder if this could be caused by some kind of reaction and bad shedding caused by Proscar ? Hyperandrogenecity ? Did you had any sides ? Acne ? Did you get bloodtest after the start ?

So you still get the foam over ebay? Maybe some other member can post some legit internet sources for the foam.

Like every weekend LOL...

Note: so I emailed Dr. Lee and I must say this guy is quick with his replies. I thought it would be like emailing a random website that never emails you back but this guy is on the ball.

I'm going to try Xandrox 15 and see how it goes.

Re: Assignment's Story

Assignment, how heavy was the shedding when you lost your regrowth? Were you seeing hundreds of hairs fall out per day or something?

YES!

At first, I notice more than usual but recently is has been a massive shed. This is due to the fact that all the hair I regrew has come to the miniturization (sp?) stage where it just falls out and doesn't grow back.

In the past 4-6weeks, I've seen about ~30 hairs per morning and night in the sink but now it's down to 10-15 bucause there's just no hair to fall out lol.

BUT - every morning and night I VIGIROUSLY run my hand through my hair over the sink for ~10secs just to see how many fall out; and those that do I tell em to eff off and get the duck out :)

Re: AZ's story (small update on p.10)

1-Month X15% Update:

Hey everyone,

So it's been one month on Xandrox-15%. From what I can see, I am still shedding but not as significantly as before. I have actually maintained my "hairline" and hair as it looks like nothing has changed.

From taking a close close look at my hair, I can see a lot of TINY hairs coming in on my temples. I am almost 100% positive these were not there a month ago but I will say thay they are still very tiny. I can even see some of these tiny hairs coming in way below my hairline lol (probably the effect of X15's absorption over and beyond the area you spread it over).

I have no sides from X15% and still use 5% foam in the mornings.

X15% is pretty sticky. I wish it wasn't so sticky as that would just be awesome. I really like the dropper it comes with and 1mL is more than enough to cover my entire head.

Overall, I am pleased with the progress and am looking forward to month-2 and hopefully some of these tiny hairs growing in a bit thicker.
