Hi there so I tried finasteride for about 2 and a half weeks and was having some bad sides so had to stop, that is out of the question so what are my other options? Anybody have any alternatives? I am 23, 24 next month and think my hairloss is quite bad, I could be tripping, I hope I am a norwood 2 and can at least maintain. Gonna post a bunch of pics for you guys 2 get a good sense. I know I’ve always had a high hairline and big forehead, but I know I am receding as well, just want to know at what rate and what the hell I can do to keep my hair without finasteride! I’ve posted before but some threads get to long and annoying so posted another. Thank you.

Honestly man your recession is so slow and is happening without thinning anywhere else on the scalp so If I was in your position I wouldnt even try to treat it yet. You can try minoxidil and dermarolling but I can't see you having much growth or much loss from what I is there right now. You will probably be bald when you are very old or something but it is unpredictable. What is your family history of hairloss? If I was a betting man I would bet your hair at 35 wont be much different than right now whether you try to treat it or not.

@recedingornot87 Thanks for the feedback man, appreciate it. My dad has a high hairline, he's like 46 right now but still definitely still has hair probably a Norwood 2-2.5 his hair is quite thin though but nothing crazy. His crown is still fine too more or so just his hairline/temple areas that have died out. Idk if you have checked out the sandalore page on here but thats the only treatment I have been doing. This dude just posted in there with incredible results check it out!

Also dude, I am thinning for sure, hair looks a bit thicker cause of having some gel in. Not a super fast pace but definitely starting to thin as well. Isn't there some type of natural remedy to help?

The thing with nature is that it wants you to go bald. If your really are thinning then maybe try lowering the finasteride dose to 0.25mg per day?

Anybody else? Dermarolling? Lipogaine? But isn't lipogain essentially the same as minidoxil? Any feed back would be good. Currently using sandalore but not sure it is working, haven't quite seen an improvement as of yet. Also a shampoo that actually might work?

IMO, you have that male pattern baldness pattern where if you're not eyeing it monthly, it will take you by surprise. If I had to give it a name i'd call it " relative hairline thinning". The hair loss moves so gradual, and consistent that it carries out relative to your perspective; which you're use to. This form doesn't give you those blatant indicators like having deep receded temporal points. So, overtime it will likely be somebody else that infrequently visits you, that brings it to your attention. Good thing is, if you can find something to maintain what you have now; you're in a really nice position.

I agree. Often times for people like that though it happens so gradually that their hair always stays age appropriate. If i were him id just stick with dermarolling and minoxidil and skip out on finasteride/dutasteride.

@random phone charger @recedingornot87 yeah honestly sounds pretty spot on, haha recedingornot87 thats pretty much what you said. I hope if anything it just continues to very slowly recede, but for 24 you guys don't think my hairlines too bad then? I can definitely notice slow thining around my hairline but have always had relatively deep temples. what norwood do you guys think I am? Also what's the difference between minodoxil and lipogaine (gonna buy a 1.5mm dermaroller today)? I appreciate you guys for the feedback
