Bald guy in Credit check commercials

Anyone see those Freescore.com credit check commercials? There are 3 guys each representing a credit score from each credit company. The high score guys are NW1 model types while the bad credit score guy is short, fat, and....bald.

Let's not kid ourselves, balding is ugly and undesirable. All the "bald is beautiful" types can flame away.

... He's also wearing a Friday the 13th serial killer hockey mask... It's a bit over-the-top, but yeah, we all know that balding is in general very undesirable and unattractive, and anyone who says it isn't is either a liar or has perfect hair.

It's just life. It sucks, but yes we are in a large way defined by our appearance of course. I just wish there wasn't such a stigma against very young guys (16-18 years old) starting hair-loss treatments. Otherwise I would have started treatments earlier, and would probably be better off today.

Anyone watching that weird dating type show on ITV? basically there's a "panel" of 15 women, a guy comes on stage and talks about himself; if the girl doesn't like him she turns her "desk"'s light off - after the guy has finished the four "rounds" of talking about himself he gets to pick out of the remaining girls with their lights on (if they are all off he goes home alone)

well this diffuse guy came on, he still had a decent hairline but he had shaved it sly and you could tell he was diffusing.
5 lights went off before he'd opened his mouth. the host asks one girl why and she says "I like my guys to have a bit of hair on their heads"

If you're young and >NW4 I would say 50% of women will discount you outright.

This advert is the most negative image of bald man imaginable... I mean how many of us seriously fit this stereotype of the short, fat, bald slob (with serial killer hockey mask)???

male pattern baldness undoubtedly does take points off your physical appearance, but it's not the only thing women will judge you by... learn how to dress properly, groom yourself, keep your body in shape and adapt a postkive attitude rather than a negative, miserable one. and you will still easily be in the top half of males in terms of attractiveness....

Also unfortunately, if your a young male looking to attract young females and you already have significant hairloss, your best option is to shave it all off, because a grown out NW4+ or badly diffused crown will make you look very old.

I say this as a NW3 because I have the wardrobe of a 24y/o but when I grow my hair out I look about 35 with my hairline, if you want to stay looking relatively young, you got cut it relatively short or you'll scare all the girls away...short hair looks better than large unsubtle bald patches.

Baldness's only real negative trait is that some women just don't find it attractive at all.

If you're a fat loser that's your own damn fault. Ignore women, acquire currency at that point.

My only point is that balding is definitely not an "alpha male" trait. They could have chosen a short fat man with a full head of hair, but deliberately chose a bald guy. It doesn't make you a loser, but it is a negative.

Of course it is not an "alpha male" thing if you are short and fat.
Take wrestlers like Stone Cold or Goldberg or any white MMA fighter and tell me that baldness makes them look like wimps.
In fact Stone Cold only became big after he shaved his diffusing blond hair
If you are muscular, getting your head shaven just proves you are trying to seal your hyper-macho tough looks

Being bald is not an attractive trait, but people here over-analyze it by their own insecurities

You made my point for me. They all totally shave their heads because the Dr. Phil horseshoe hair look is a terrible look, and totally shaving it gets around it. The shaved head/goatee look is more masculine than a NW5 pattern, but still less desirable than a lush head of hair.

Take Me Out (is that what it's called?) is a horrible, degrading show.

I hate seeing adverts for hairloss products that prey on a persons insecurities.

If you're a bald guy, it's not always so simple a solution as being able to carry yourself well. It's easy to say that if you have perfect hair, or can pull off the bald-look, but if you're like me, then you look like Frankenstein on chemotherapy treatments with your head shaved.

I am in good shape, and I do pay attention to how I carry myself and my personal attitude, but I can gurantee you that only fatties or pathetic women would even glance at me with my head shaved.

I've done it before, it looked frightening, and that was the reception I received.

Gene Fighter, If you're only a NW3 receeder then I'd probably suggest having your hair at a short/medium length and a longer fringe maybe? :dunno: I'm a NW3 and I use that style and it certainly looks better than grown out full or really short.

If you're male pattern baldness is advanced then buzzing it down short is the best way to go, it might not look great but it's better than the Cambridge Professor/Royal family grown out look, especially if you're a young man in your 20s.

Honestly though a good head of hair is not a pre-requisite for landing hot women despite what the sulkers on this forum may believe... You need far more than a NW1.

Everyone on gourmetstylewellness.com seems to be obsessed with the idea of physical perfection and how attractive it is to women, very much in the peapoddy mould, but this appearance alone won't have the hot women you desire falling into your lap.

You need a good job also... goes with out saying.

but most importantly you need GAME and personality. Hot girls have the choice of all men and all NW1s, having perfect hair is NOT going to distinguish you...

I recommend every man on this forum who whines about not being able to get women, to download and read the game texts (Dan Bacon - The Flow and Magic Bullets)

Even my friends who are all NW1s read up on this sh*t every week before going on a night out... cos guess what? they can't seem to attract that many hot girls either!

Without GAME you have nothing...

Also lets not beat around the bush here, bald people are just a soft-target for joke commercials...

Back in the day commercials would poke fun at black or irish people, but that funnily enough isn't PC anymore, so they just moved onto bald people instead... they will continue to use us as the butt of their poor jokes until someone with any power finally takes a stand and points out how obnoxious and discriminatory these ads are towards people with male pattern baldness.
