The thing I find the hardest with balding is it is losing part of yourself. Hair is a big part of your identity and to lose it, especially young, really sucks. I knew it was in my genetics as my dad and both grandparents and handful of uncles are bald, and thought that balding happened to near every guy as they got older. I'm a young adult now and I see that no this **** doesn't happen to everyone. I am a fit 22 yr old that eats right and yet I see fat piles of old men out there with full NW1's of gray hair. I feel like I see more and more people with great heads of hair than without and that is killing me as I am in my youth and should be enjoying my youth with youthful characteristics.

**** it. ive been mental hospitalized and i know for a fact it wasent my baldness alone. it was the last nail in the coffin. i had real problems with my dad and mom that drove me to a mental breakdown. i screamed on the bus and said the most stupid out of sense idiotic things and it lead me to a forced two weeks of hell in an assylum. and after seeing there ppl with real mental issues. some of them had model looks.but they were in a mental state far far worse then me. i know for a fact now that the way of thinking i had was all wrong. even my political views were changed. call it whatever you want. i actually feel better right now with the pills. by bdd is almost over. still not compleatly over. lets say from 100% of bdd i dropped to 20%.

exactly. all male pattern baldness sucks but it's worse for very good-looking men to go bald in their 20s than for average-looking men. going from a 9 to a 5 is a bigger drop than a 5 to a 4. there is no 9/10 man with male pattern baldness. even statham is a 7 tops. jude law is a great example: 9 with hair, 6 bald. all women talk about is how handsome he was before he went bald. "you used to be so handsome" is much worse than simply "you're going bald." you're psychologically accustomed to being good-looking and being received as such. now your whole identity changes. much more complex issue to deal with.

good looking men may take a hit from male pattern baldness, but they're still facially handsome so they've got that going for them, plus before they started balding they would have reaped the benefits of being handsome, something that somebody ugly from birth doesn't get to experience even for a short time.

Baldness hurts overall appearance a LOT. Dont forget you still have some hair on top that frames your face.
Once man lose his frame, he is losing simetry and becoming not so good looking.

I spent A LOT of time thinking about this, and trust me, its BETTER to be average looking (face) with NW1, then good looking NW4 !!!

To get ahead in this world you have to understand your environment. Ignoring that our culture discriminates against bald people will get you no where.

The best thing you can do is treat your hair loss and if that doesn't work consider ending it all.

Death at NW3 is the catch-cry I identify with. After that point your face is ****ed and you are basically a walking freak unless you have 1:10000000 genetics.
