i think if he just grows it out a little bit longer on the top, it would look a lot better.

Its not that bad at all.

s.a.f, what about today´s proven treatments? Why do you think he wouldn´t try Finasteride?

Use of finasteride is not allowed by the World Anti Doping Agency. It is a masking agent for several performance-enhancing steroids.

finasteride isnt a proven treatment. Yes it helps many people but there are also plenty of examples of people on here taking finasteride and still losing ground.
Aswell as the reason ADL stated above.
TBH I would put money on it that Beckham (like most balding men) has'nt even done any research into treatments, hes a busy guy.

Should be no problem if he would get a perscription.

He could only get away with it if it was a valid prescription for medical reasons, not hairloss. And since I doubt he's suffering from prostate problems thats not going to happen. Besides do you really think that Beckham is spending his days infront of the mirror obsessing about it?

If Beckham really has hair loss, I don't think it bugs him as much as it does to many of us.

With or without hair, he is still a sexy man, ladies will still love him.

I noticed during games, Beckhams hair looks ROCK solid. Its only when he is captured out on the town by some random photographer that wasn't ment to be there, when his hair looks diffuse. Which leads me to believe, when he is playing games for the LA GALAXY and he knows all eyes will be on him he uses some kinda of concealer or hair thickening product for people who are like ULTRA rich to conceal his diffusing.

haha nice. personally, i think he is aware of some of the treatments. i dont mean he stands in the bathroom mixing up his ru58841 solution but he mustve heard of minoxidil and finasteride. he will have seen the articles documenting his hairloss and ive seen doctors speak the usual bollocks in those articles and recommending products so....yeah. he'll probably want to do something about it without it being too obvious so he'll have to start fairly soon.

he's probably going to retire in a couple of years so drug tests won't be an issue too. How sad am I commenting on this?

I am still amazed how some of you guys got so much time studying other dudes' hair.

I think his hair is okey, and he can easily get a hair transplant to make it look better.

We on the other hand are not that lucky.

Vasco wants quick trial for new coach Romario on doping charges

By PETER MUELLO, Associated Press Writer
December 6, 2007

RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil (AP) -- Romario was named coach of the Brazilian club Vasco on Thursday, the same day the team asked for a quick hearing on the veteran striker's positive doping test.

The 41-year-old star tested positive for the banned substance finasteride in October but claimed he had been using it to prevent hair loss. Finastride is the active ingredient in the anti-balding medication Propecia.

Romario coached the team briefly this year, and he will continue as an active player when he takes over as coach. But a long suspension could mean the end of his playing career.

Romario's coaching contract will last through a tournament next month in Dubai, in the United Araba Emirates, and could extend through the Guanabara Cup, the first half of the Rio de Janeiro state tournament. He replaces Valdir Espinosa.

Graying and balding, Romario admitted to using finasteride after a 2-2 draw between Vasco and Palmeiras on Oct. 28.

He will likely be accused of violating Article 244 of the Brazilian Sports Justice Code, which bans doping and carries a penalty of suspension for 120 to 360 days.

In a similar case, Internacional defender Marcao was found guilty this year of using finasteride, allegedly to prevent hair loss, and was suspended for 120 days, although half his sentence was converted into distributing food baskets for the needy.

Finasteride is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned list because it can mask use of anabolic steroids. But Vasco asked the Brazilian soccer confederation to test the urine sample with a reagent available in Europe that would reveal whether Romario used steroids.

"The urine is still in the laboratory," Vasco physician Pedro Valente said on Thursday in an interview with the Rio de Janeiro newspaper O Globo. "Test it to find out if the finasteride masked anabolic steroids."

If Romario draws a long suspension, it could be the end of a brilliant career for the striker who was named the world's best player by FIFA in 1994, the year he led Brazil to its fourth World Cup title. He has scored 929 career goals by FIFA's count -- or 1,000 including goals scored as an amateur and in nonofficial FIFA games. Only three other players have reportedly reached the 1,000-goal mark.

Didn't want to make a new thread about it. Just shows why these sportsmen aren't allowed to use these treatments. Furthermore it shows that people do care even when they are in their fourties and look great anyway. I'm sure Romario has reached the 1000 women mark way before he got the 1000 goals. He still wants to hold on to his looks and I do understand that. :agree:

If you're even nearly as good-looking as you constantly claim, surely the balding won't take it all away.

You can take my word for it that when I walk into a club I got all girls glancing at me. Is it shallow? You bet it is. Does it feel good? It's the best feeling in the world. I would go far to hold on to my looks.

It still makes no sense to say that hairloss is more painful when you have good looks. :shakehead:
That's a cruel thing to say.
