Balding like crazy on finasteride

I've been on finasteride 0.25 mg for 4 months and 1.25 mg for 1 month.
During this whole time my hair has been going rapidly. Back in march I could still style it somewaht but now my front has thinned into a wisp. I am about at the point where I'm forced to shave it cause it irritates me like **** how thin it is.
I am gonna jump on minoxidil soon, but I have a feeling that this is just going to keep getting worse. It's not even just a "shed", even though I'm shedding a lot, but I have much less hair than even just 6 months ago and it's going faster than ever.

I can't afford dutasteride cause it's crazy expensive and I can't get it prescribed either. So minoxidil it is. But it looks like I will not be a success story. **** it.

Uve been on an effective dose of finasteride for 1 month, you still have no clue whether or not finasteride is helping you yet.

0.25 in theory is effective, i use 0.5 to be "safe", i am on my 3° month and nothing really happened...

Same here 3rd month and can't tell if miniaturization at the hairline or new hairs... but everything else seems quite steady

.25 isn't effective I tried it for 3 months and lost ground and I'm 100%sure I did. With .5 I'm 3 months in and it really seems like.no change

the shedding completely stopped at the 2nd month of daily 1.25g of Finasteride.

False. Finasteride 0,25 mg might not be effective as 1 mg but studies showed that it is almost the same.

I think you should've been quoting me... .25 works for slow balding men not anyone with aggressive male pattern baldness.. the efficacy is not even close to the same as 1mg

Come back in a year and a half with pictures and then tell us. Its a life long thing I wouldnt get hung up 1 month in. There are not any real options if it doesnt work anyways so you may as well stay on it
