Balding? Maturing?age 23 And Worried

Hi,

My name is Chris and I'm 23 and seriously depressed about the possibility of losing my hair. I know I shouldn't be worried about something so vain and should have more confidence in my other qualities but for some reason this is seriously bothering me.

I'm aware that most of us on here aren't dermatologists or hair loss specialist but I would very much appreciate any feedback.
I've had about the same hairline since 13 but I recently noticed it when an older brother teased me about it. I have health and anxiety so natural I fixated on this for the last couple of weeks and it has send me down a rabbit whole of articles has deep and dense as the encyclopedia Britannica.
It looks like I've lost more hair but this can honestly be something psychosomatic. In the shower, I've notice, that as I semi roughly handle my hair about 3-4 strands appeal on my palms I haven't noticed this until my brother made that ill fated joke about this freaking left recession

How bald am I on a norwood scale? Do I have weeks or months left? Will I ever be as sexy as Patrick Stewart?

I think Norwaad 1.5. You will not be bald soon.

If you lose your hair, sexy is not a problem. Like Patrik Stewart or Dzheyson Steitem. I do sex with women after I lose my hair the same amount as before I lose it. If you have good face and strong seed and many grains, they will love.

If I get on the meds now do I have a chance of regrowth? Also, how fast is the progression usually? Like will I ever be a norwood 3 or 15?

No man, only Allah can predict what your Norwaad will be in the future, brother. It maybe 3 or more, but it will probably happen in years from now. I think you can stop this with the drug, but I do not know which drug to use. Ask @Slobodan dos Santos. I just rub paste of crushed amberboa and weasel oil into my scalp, we do not have minoxidil or awadart in my country because it is on a same list as heroin and kokain. They cut off your chram if you are having these drugs.

The progress of male pattern balding is very slow. It typically takes more than 10 years to become completely bald.
With finasteride+minoxidil you have a high chance of regrowth. I read in a meta-analysis article that this combination would give you 95% chance of some regrowth.
The incidence of finasteride side effect is very low. Somewhere between 1 and 5 percent. Different studies have different results. Side effects will gradually disappear after you discontinue medication, and is also very likely to disappear after some time even if you keep taking finasteride.

You should get on finasteride for sure but I’m not so sure about minoxidil as it does take a little bit to do and it’s a lifelong commitment. I guess you could try oral minoxdil if you just want to take 2 pills and forget about your hairloss

Thank you friend. I met with derma today he said my corners are fine but I come back in 3 months and I'll insist on putting me on some of finasteride. I can't imagine getting much worse in three months do you?

given the thickness of your current hair it would take years for you to become bald. 3 months is nothing in the grand scheme of things. but your corners are definitely slightly receded so finasteride would help.
