Balding or not?

Hi,

I'm new to the forum. Can't decide whether im balding or its just my natural parting. The only thing ive changed recently is that ive grown my hair quite alot longer, thinking doing this just makes it more noticable but unsure? Nobody has made any comments about it but im paranoid as my dad was almost completely bold at my age (23).

Can't tell from that picture. All I see is lighter hair around the crown
at least from that blurry photo.

Well that's part of the problem, this was taken with an 8mb camera, but by the time i compressed it enough to be uploaded to the site the quality is partly sacrificed ill take some more closer up ones tonight and see if they fair better, but i find flash can sometimes also cause issues.

yes is male pattern baldness, begins alvi armani scale, start with Finasteride and ketokonazole, is very initial, you have much hair, no need minoxidil yet.

Looks ok to me. If he's balding then everyone on the planet is.

The flash has put a highlight reflection on the crown but it is hair not scalp.

One thing for sure dude, with the regime you are on you probably won't have to worry about any hair loss for a long time, might even grow more especially since you started before you lost anything. Wish I would of started finasteride early.

Ok its time to come clean, to those with the keen eye i already noted down my regimen...this is actually an after shot of around 2 years on propecia, and 6 months on once a day minoxidil. I posted it in this way as i think its a good way to gauge how good my results are. Ill post some before pictures tomorrow, however these will mostly be picked off facebook etc as i did not monitor it at all over the years. Ill also post some better after pictures.

OK so here goes, first attempt at editing these pictures, they may be oversized etc. I used Imgur as recommended above.

The first picture is a picture of what the lady took from where I got my Propecia from, this is day one of treatment. No subsequent pictures were taken with the same camera in the same light again as she left the particular company. The second picture therefore is me on my 21st birthday. There is something to bare in mind with this picture in comparison to others, my hair was cut VERY short back then because of how clearly balding I am. Anyway, 2 years on and you'll see the bottom pictures, I have since been able to grow it out quite well, the only thing i'm disappointed with a little is now my fringe...I'm hoping starting on dutasteride will further enhance my results

Been watching this forum for some time now and i feel my results are worth sharing to keep things positive!
