Based on this picture of my dad, would you say I'd be prone to male pattern baldness?

he was in his early 50s in this picture, his hairline has not changed since, he's 66 now, just some typical thinning for an old guy
now that i look at the picture, it looks like he did recede a bit at the temples and thin a bit http://imgur.com/8v4bp9h
no one in his family balds, but some do have their hairlines recede a little at the temples

mother's side, no hairloss, they're asian, maybe some slight receding once they're old,


i recently began using steroids, and noticed my hairline recede at the temples only, and some thinning on one side where u can see through my hair.
my hair has always been pretty thin genetically, and i naturally had a high hairline (well, just a big forehead, making my hairline look high i guess)

so i really don't want this to get any worse and would like to regrow the hair at the temples, even though it was pretty minor.
given that i'm probably not prone to male pattern baldness to a great degree (are there degrees for this? or is it you're either prone to it or not), would i probably be able to regrow hair easily?

i have minoxidil, and have been using it on the areas but haven't noticed much yet. not sure if i want to take this long term because of its effects on collagen

im also using nizoral overnight

gonna get some topical spironolactone and emu oil i guess
not sure if those will help regrow or just prevent further loss, but maybe they'll aid in my natural regrowth if it does happen


in the picture of me, you can see that my hair receded at the temple a bit on that left side that's showing, although it might seem worse than it is bc i have a big forehead

well your dad has hairloss that's for sure, but its very minor and non aggressive given his age much like my fathers. And yes, hairloss is all about degree, just like everything else in life. Some people will lose a small amount on their hairline usually between 17-30, and it will then become stabilized. This is what they refer to as a mature hairline where it slightly recedes but everywhere else stays thick. Whether that ever progresses to anything more severe can only be answered by time. You get guys who never lose a single hair, you get guys who have perfect hairlines until they are 50 and then go full norwood 6. This is why its frustrating, I've been contemplating taking procepia for the last 7 years. I posted pics once, people tell me im balding. I post a video, people tell me im trolling and a show off. Anyway the point is, like me, you need to go see a dermatologist who can answer you for sure.

Also, you shouldn't have gotten on cycle without getting on procepia. You are already ****ing with ur endocrine system, might as well make sure you're hair is safe. I hope for you're sake your cycle consists of test only, and no harsh dht derivatives like tren. Tren and winny will decimate anyone's follicles who are prone to male pattern baldness pretty fast. Anyway, to finally answer ur question, its near impossible to tell if you are losing hair from that picture but its clear your hairline has matured to some degree.

i've continued to take steroids, not sure if i mentioned in op that's why i started shedding

but my hair is falling out like crazyy from the steroids, my temples are receding and quality of hair is getting really ****ty
i notice whenever i come off the steroids it stops shedding, but the temple loss pretty much stays there, but the hair doest thicken up i think
can't really tell, all i know is that i'm shedding like crazy at the moment and im on steroids and my temples seem to be retreating further back by the month

if i come off the steroids could i get back my temples? i already started finasteride and minoxidil and nizoral
also have topical ru on hand
