Beating swisstemples (pics)

I will let the pictures speak for themselves.

**********************TEMPLE CLOSE-UP NOW*****************************

temple2.jpg

******************************************************************

Where I started 10 months ago (slick NW6 bald all over, actually not fully slick but extreme case of diffuse with v few sparse miniaturised here and there that you could count on fingers and noone could see). Result of doing nothing for decade+ of balding

Where I am now (after 9 months of treatment). Nice frame developing. Confidence is sky high.

Scalp still visible but filling up nicely. I am 100% sure I will fill hair sometime in the next year, my aim is scalp not showing through. Hairline still receded. This is the challenge for me but I am not giving up. Now my fight is temples, I am pretty much winning the rest.

I will win this fight. Temples are stubborn but so am i, devoted and determined. And this forum is the source of my strategy and my strength. Thanks everyone

Wowwww. That's really good progress. Regimen details please

The only consistent thing is Big 3:
- Minoidil 5%, 67% ethanol, 28% water. Goes by the brand name Mintop. 1 ml X Twice daily.
- Finasteride generic 1.25mg daily. Fincar generic 5mg cut into 4.
- Ketaconzole 1%: Regenepure DR daily.

I have been v lucky to have no side effects through my entire treatment so far.

I believe my main results are from Big-3. I am just lucky to be a good responder and I am very very devoted and consistent.

Non-consistent things I started to take my fight to next level after about 4-6 months (this is about the time I first noticed any significant results):
a) 1:1 pumpkin seed oil and castor oil infused with dried nettle root and saw palmetto beans + a dash of rosemary. Massage 1-2 time weekly on weekends and leave overnight.
b) Dermarolling 0.5mm once every 3-4 days
c) Pumpkin and sunflower seeds orally, few tablespoons worth 3-4 days a week (I keep it next to my PC at work and nibble away while working)
d) 2 cups of green tea daily
e) Retin-A 0.025% cream on temples (only started recently to throw everything in my fight against the temples)
f) Tea Tree Oil (5-10 drops on filled bath). I see where the drops are on top of water and then splash and rub that over my head and sit in the bath for about 20 minutes, this makes it like dilute and random). I have now replaced tea tree oil with peppermint oil on alternate days only since last week)
g) Rejuveplex with AHK-Cu for last 4 months 4-5 days a week. Only on right temple as an experiment. No difference between the two sides as yet....I'll give it another 2-3 months to complete my 6 months experiment before throwing it in the bin.

Recently I have also started applying extra dose of minoxidil with a dropper on the temples and do it 3 times, while rest of the scalp gets a 1 ml spread over a large area just 2 times. It is my main weapon for my now fight against the temples.

Apart from a) and possibly f) I believe rest are not doing much just helping a little bit generally in keeping scalp healthy and providing nutrients.
I am not saying a) and f) are doing something but I am unsure either way because I have so many things mixed up in my regimen.

I just logged on today too. WOW. So happy for you.

Thanks Wolf. An added bonus is all my new hair is black while I have more grey hair than black in the horseshoe (I color the horseshoe but you can still see the grey on the sides). Of course I do not color my male pattern baldness treatment area but then there is no need because It's all nice n black.

Oye_rg, amazing, you're growing back all the way to the Norwood-2 pattern. You're clearly a good responder to minoxidil. Dermarolling, im sure, has helped you a lot as well because that's when I started seeing regrowth, right after I started dermarolling.

Thanks. Do u use any of the online pharmacies or do u have someone that sends it over to u?

I have guests coming over every year so I ask them to bring. It is available over the counter at any local pharmacy and is dirt cheap (less than £2 for 10, i.e. 40 day supply). The expiry is typically 3 years so I get more just in case and coz its so cheap.

What do you mean the title of beating Swisstemples? Growing the crown, mid scalp and front is actually easy(Somewhat).

But regrowing the Norwood-0-1 is the holy grail in hair loss treatment. Swiss is doing major groundbreaking work, by around March, he will probably have his childlike hairline back.

**UPDATE: NOW ADDED TEMPLE CLOSE-UP AT THE TOP OF MY ORIGINAL POST**

I admire the likes of swisstemples and hellouser for their invaluable contributions through their tireless, selfless, and relentless research and experiments. Its not a race it is a compliment to swiss because he is probably the only one who has regrown temples without surgery.

I have seen his posts and picture. He has taken oral PGE2 (castor oil) and now proper PGE2 i think. I am not taking castor orally because I do not want to be hairier on the body (although his theory is the body hair will return to normal on stopping but I have my doubts). I am only on the big3 and topical oils etc so my regrowth will be slower and less remarkable I already know that.
I am just excited that my temples seem to be responding now after 9 months of struggle. Its hard to see but if you put up my picture on a big screen, turn contract to max and brightness to min you might be able to see the tiny pigmented hair and follicles through the skin on my temples. There was nothing there before treatment. Minoxidil grew vellus within a short time of 1-2 months but pigmentation has only just started after 8-9 months.
