Been on .5mg propecia for approx 6 weeks..

Hello guys,

So its been approximately 6 weeks since i began taking .5mg Propecia...first four weeks everything was fine. For the past two weeks, I dont really have morning erections, water semen, and slight less sensation when ejaculating. I can still get erections etc. My doctor recommends I stay on the drug, saying that my body needs time to acclimate to the drug. Any of you guys have similar effects after a month on the drug? When did go away for you? Im by no means freaking out, if anything it makes sense that the body need to acclimate. However at what point if my side effects dont go away should i quit the drug? Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I have been taking 0.20mg finasteride daily for 4 months. I did not have any noticeable side effects at all, except for slight temporal headache after I take the drug each morning, which headache goes gradually away in 20 minutes or so. Also, it may be just my imagination, but I think my libido actually increased since I take the drug. However, I am sure I have not felt any less desire for sex, difficulties with erection and different semen substance. I think side effects like yours should go away with time, but you must be patient.

About quitting - I believe you are the only person who can determine when to stop. Side effects will go away when you quit, so it is only your own tolerance to them - if you can't live with them, waiting for them to go away, then quit. If you can - then stick with the drug and hope for better days .
