It's been two years. My hair looks better than before, but I caught my hairloss when I was just a norwood 2.

Just about 2 years in, definately improved, only 21 though! I was balding quickly and got on finasteride at nw2, maintained and hair has now turned black, used to be light brown!

At what point did you start to see improvement? I'm 15 months on and still holding hope. Nothing good yet. Although I am 43.

I saw noticeable regrowth within 2 months. However, I think I started developing ed side effects right afterwards. Not sure what to do now. I may go off it. I'm 32 by the way.

Hey Yankee, took about 6 months to get any cosmetic effect, but the itching and shedding halted about 2 weeks in, finasteride seems to have lost effectiveness for me now, dutasteride is the next step.

I suppose it will be difficult at 43, well, depending on the extent of hair loss, stick with it or think about dutasteride.
