being bald is extra paintful if you are young at heart

Just wondering, but since you don't seem to be on any maintenance meds, what will you do if the non-transplanted hairs fall off? Won't you eventually run out of grafts and isn't there a risk that the donor area can thin out in the future?
Good question.

My donor will be DONE with the next transplant, which I'll get next month.

Since my crown and front areas are all transplant hairs, the only concern would be the mid scalp region.

Will it get worse in the future? My surgeon says it might but I don't know. He thinks I should get on minoxidil or finasteride. But since most of my hair is already gone, is there really a point? My hair loss has completely stabilized for a while, just because I've already lost so much hair. When I run my hand through my scalp zero hairs come out.

If it gets to the point where I somehow have ZERO hair between the crown and the front, I will either transplant body hair and/or buzz it all off. Buzzed NW1 is infinitely better than being completely bald, even though I definitely look better with my hair grown out a bit.

Could you possibly transplant already transplanted hairs (idk if doctors do this)? Like maybe if the midscalp hairs fall off you could transplant some hairs from the crown into that region, and then wear some concealer? Or is that not feasible?

Interesting point, I actually believe that it's possible since doctors can fix bad transplants by moving existing transplanted hairs around, but I'm not sure.

I relate to you OP. I know how to drive but only got my license a year ago. I still don't have a car and also live with my mom, its so embarassing being dropped off by her at work. Luckily living with your parents is more normal in rural USA.

I also love disney movies and comic book stuff but nowadays its a lot more normal to be an adult and like things like that. We're lucky in that "childish" interesrd as an adult, living with parents when older, etc is getting more normalized

Even before covid the percentage was 46! 46% of american 18-29 year olds live with their parents, and 52% as of july

I dont know where are u getting transplants from.euginix on india is giving full head coverage for Norwood 6 7 people with the use of beard grafts. With advanced technologies I believe everyone except total baldness can have a full head of hair.

That's crazy, unfortunately I live far away from India and my surgeon seems wary of beard grafts for some reason. But I think that if I've made it so far without minoxidil or finasteride I'll just keep it this way. Beard or nape grafts are something that I definitely keep in mind for the future. Right now I'm far more focused on getting my hairline lowered though.

What's ur age now?
This was one of their results. A Norwood 7 complete transformation.
.

It will be cheaper for u to come to india overall.many from US afe coming to them for hair transplants. Atleast talk to them online for free to know what they can do.

This is not a promotion but just want people to take the best decision.

This channel has amazing results. I'm 29 and unfortunately don't have the option to fly to another country for a transplant yet. But if I'm not married by 35-40 I might consider it. It still gives me hope regardless because maybe other clinics all over the world will imitate their techniques and step it up.

What a depressing thread, hairloss or not, OP, you got some growing up to do. And it sounds like it will be pretty painful for you. Which is okay, pain and growth go hand in hand. Just remember: If you continue on your way, the pain will only get worse.

Re: transplant talk. Guys, you are on the f*****g internet. Get your facts straight and inform yourselves. I am years, probably decades, away from ever needing one and I know more than you who are asking these questions here. Seek out experts like Joe Tillman, Spencer Kobren, or reputable transplant doctors on YouTube and read, read, read. This is the last thing you want to do on a whim.
