No. Some types of women are more understanding about it than others, however, and you have to try to preselect for them. (I don't mean fat or ugly women; just certain personality types and ethnicities. And there is no shame in poaching from ponds with the right mix of the highest quality fish you can get and the highest chance of angling one.)

I should say for full disclosure that I'm not 100% conspicuously balding yet, so if I grow my hair and give it a good styling, I can pull off a "not balding" look. (If I get my hair cut short, or I get out of bed with unstyled hair, or out of the shower, or the wind blows in the wrong direction - then it becomes conspicuous, mostly on my right side, which is frustrating). So the noble sentiments of my gfs since this started may not have translated into practice when the baldness really hit or I had to shave my head.

Obviously I didn't fully trust them on that - which is I why on the 'peesh now.

I was never dumped because of it. In fact, all the opposite happened to me.

Since my hairloss was really fast (2 years from NW1 to NW5), when I was around NW2 I met a girl, and a few months later we started going out. We went out for like a year, in which I went from NW2 to NW5. She was so in love with me that she denied my hairloss. I shaved my head and she said that she didn't like it, and that she wanted me to let my hair grow again! Later on she kind of accepted it though, I remember that we were on a party one day and everyone was talking about my hairloss, and she was there and kind of resigned to the truth.

Anyways, I had to dump her for romantic reasons. She was pretty hot and I'm sure that image of an NW5 dumping a pretty girl is not commonplace. I was still in denial about how being bald would affect my ability to get laid, but I think that I still did the right thing as I wasn't in love with her.

In any case, that was like a year and a half ago, and I only had 2 or 3 dates since then, and sex once or twice with a couple of fatties :) So I don't get dumped because of my hairloss, but I'm not given a chance to start anything with an attractive woman anymore.

It's going well actually, I'm noticing some regrowth, especially in my front line, and even people are telling me that I have more hair now, even though no one knows yet that I'm on medication. I'm starting to look more like an NW4 now.

It's been 2.5 months so far, results supposedly come after some more time, so my hopes are up :) Now I hope to see some results on my crown area, and start going to NW3 soon :p

That's awesome. It must feel great to see results!

No, the girl i'm with now is very understanding, sometimes i don't even know why, her favorite actor is Statham ...

I live in a north african country, it may explains why girls are a (little bit, there is no huge difference) different.

But girls aren't even the first concern for me when it comes to hairloss, it's about seeing myself in the mirror. I can live my life as an sexual, but not as a bald guy (not judging others, just speaking about my own case)

If a girl dumps you because of your hair loss, then she wasn't the right girl for you, plain and simple. Loving someone for their looks is shallow, and imo a bit pathetic. If you can't close your eyes and still feel the same way about someone than you do with your eyes open, then why be with them? Looks don't last forever, especially hair. Unless you plan on doing a suicide pact before you turn old and wrinkly together, then I'd count on losing your youthful looks sooner or later. My hair just started thinning, so I shaved it. So far, I've gotten some nice compliments from several ladies. Now I just need to find out what my love interest thinks ;)

If you don't care about looks, baldness is not an issue. That's also plain and simple. You can always find your dates from the pool of physically unattractive ones; there are millions of nice and smart girls there to choose from.

I agree however that if you are already in a love relationship, no one should be dumped for getting older.

I haven't even been able to get a girlfriend to date me in the first place so no, hair loss hasn't caused me to get dumped LOL!

I've honestly given up at this point though. I'm 24 and have given up :hmmm: already.

I've never had a girlfriend and never really cared for one, but not because of my male pattern baldness. So I've never been dumped and don't know what it's like. I'm very happy being single. :)

Ignorance is bliss. When you are in love and lose the love then it's like you were in heaven and got chucked out. Before I got into girls life was a lot more simple.

Come to Toronto, Canada :)

Women here are extremely hypergamous, high feelings of entitlement, high feelings of accomplishments for their dayjob (eventhough they really contribute next to nothing to society) and nearly all have a very similar HATRED towards men. Just read this article:

http://www.thegridto.com/city/sexuality/why-is-it-so-hard-to-hook-up-in-toronto/

Then read the comments about how women here are.

If a girl breaks up with you because of hairloss then good. You don't want to be with someone like that long term or short term, kick her *** out the door. You Stone Cold Steve Austin gets dumped for having no hair? I don't think so.

Years ago I had a girlfriend that was really into me, she left her boyfriend to pursue me,I was about 22 and in the last year of having a full head of hair, after about 6 months of dating I started to notice my hair was thinning out on top,she must have noticed aswell cos she went from a nice chick that would do anything for me to being nasty to me and then just broke up with me for no reason at all.I did nothing wrong the sex was great for her and me so I was bewildered as to why we broke up.It had to be myhair loss.I asked her for a reason and she never gave me one. They will never ever tell you that hair loss is the reason they broke up with you,but deep down you and her know it is.
