Benefits of 1.25mg finasteride that 1.00mg doesn't have?

I have just started taking 1.00 generic finasteride(it has been about three weeks). I have been seeing a lot of people taking Proscar 5mg cut into 1/4ths or 1.25mg finasteride. With that said, are there more results with the higher dosage, and should I switch to a higher dosage? I will be starting big three as soon as possible.

Differences above ~0.5mg is insignificant to measure.

No, they are taking it that way because cutting a proscar into fourth is much much cheaper than buying generic finasteride, since generic finasteride is considered to be a drug for luxury use, so they charge more for it.

The differences are totally negligible as others have stated. When I started taking Finasteride and didn't know any different I was getting the regular 1mg doses and was paying around $30 a month for generic!!!

About 3 months ago I switched to generic proscar and cut them into fourths and now I'm paying $3 a month (serious).I had to ask my doctor for a favor though because she didn't want to prescribe it as I'm only taking it for cosmetic reasons but she eventually budged.

Is there a way to get Proscar? My physician told me to just stay on Generic finasteride for now, but its running me almost $75-$80 a month!

It's not about the dose, it's just the fact that generic finasteride normally comes in a 5mg pill that can only be cut into 4th's.
