Hi just wondering what everyone thinks is the best minoxidil to buy online?
Never been a fan of lipogaine. I think its the fact that they use ethenol rather than alcohol. Also the other stuff in it made my hair really dirty.
I usually have a compound pharmacy make me a 7%minoxidil with 0.02% tretinoin which works fairly well.
I am looking for a cheaper solution. Havent been able to find anything with ra online. What do you all think?

This is the one I used (although I finished it already), and am currently using regular foam until my new one arrives.

It contains 5% minoxidil, 5% azelaic acid, and 0.025% retinol: http://www.xandrox.com/minoxidil-5-azelaic-acid-solution/
If you use 1mL per day application it's somewhat affordable.

There's also this one from advancedtrichology with retinoic acid (idk what the percentage is): https://www.advancedtrichology.com/...ogy-pm-formula-5-minoxidil-with-retinoic-acid

Ethanol is a cheap alternative to esther alcohol which should be used.
Azaelic acid just made my hair really dirty. Not even so much dry as just dirty.
Retinol at 0.025% will do absolutely nothing as it is just vitamin a and some of it turns to tretinoin in the skin.
I had another one made which was 5% retinol and that actually did work very well.

Azaelic did nothing for me.
Regular generic worked just as well
Stachu, what about making one with tretinoin and bimatoprost?
90% alcohol 10% ppg. Do you use citric acid for the minoxidil to disolve?

I worry about using anti androgens in topicals. Especially research chemicals like ru58841.
Latanoprost is essentially the same as bimatoprost with a 4x higher price tag.

Plus so many of those things have such high price tags and little evidence of working.

Tretinoin has alot of evidence that it works with or without minoxidil.
Same with bimatoprost. Even though bimatoprost is extremely expensive

For me the carrier is extremely important.
Lipogaine wont penetrate my scalp. Leaves my pillows yellow and makes my hair look like i have used cheap mousse.

The only two things i have tried over the past 6 years that actually worked was minoxidil 5-7% with tretinoin 0.01-0.02%
Or minoxidil 5-7% with retinol 5%
The one with the retinol 5% actually worked better but made me shed like crazy at first and my skin was peeling alot around the temples. But wow it was like i had more hair than i had ever had

Even some compound pharmacies dont realize that you need to add citric acid to keep the minoxidil from crystalizing.
Some go as far as using 50%ppg for this reason. Anything over 5% minoxidil will still crystalize in 50%ppg with citric acid.

I wasted so much money on different compound chemists until i found one that actually knew what they were doing.

You should help him add latanoprost, topical dutasteride, cpa, alphatradiol, and estrodiol as well.

There is solution with dutasteride :)

if you don't want alcohol, no PG (PG is Ototoxic, much worse than Ethanol), no mess on your head, no time wasted putting it and no high costs, oral minoxidil is the best solution

This is what I use now, 5mg a day and it works great. No side effects that I notice, I pop a pill in the AM and the hair is as good as using Rogain foam twice a day at a fraction of the cost
