What's wrong with shampooing every day? Sometimes I do it twice a day.

I couldn't get the promotional code to work either, I did go ahead and order anyway because its still a great deal regardless. I e-mailed the customer service and asked them why the promo code wouldn't work..I should be getting an e-mail shortly and I'll let ya know what I find out.

twice a day? WHY?

You do relize that you hair has natural oils that you're just stripping away constantly? Jesus dude that is just insane, you're doing more harm than good.

Why? Well mainly because I like to get all of the gunk out of my hair before I put on my evening application of Spectral DNC/Foam. I would otherwise just do it once a day and use the NANO/Nizoral in the mornings.

I also have naturally oily skin so I don't think that is a concern.

Not to mention the fact that I use the Essential oils topical at night, and one of the main carrier oils I use is Jojoba. Jojoba's properties are similar to the sebum anyways so again this concern is highly mitigated from this.

Doesn't sound even lowly insane or like washing twice/day would be doing any harm to me.

Shampooing 7 times a week is overkill. Why would you try to offset that by using jojoba oil, its just like roiders offsetting the steroids they use by other massive drugs. It's also people who get Errection difficulties on finasteride Offsetting it by v****, just stupid. But anyways whatever moves your furniture.

Again, you make no logical reasoning of what's wrong with shampooing 7x, or 14x, or even 50x a day other than your own opinion that you THINK it is stupid.

You obviously did not read a word of my response, as I'm not using jojoba to offset washing it so much. I'm using Jojoba in my essential oils topical. Then you resort to a straw man argument as well. Who is talking about roids and muscles?

I use a salicylic acid based shampoo once or twice a week for this very reason.

Cassin, I meant the styling product in my hair. Makes it hard to apply the foam/dnc!

I just grabbed this off of a different forum....thought it might be helpful

The instructions say:

"Apply with gentle massage for 1-2 minutes, then repeat and leave on for 3 - 5 mins"
This is a bloody expensive shampoo so, assuming the first application was simply to clean the scalp ready for the second/main application i emailed Divine Skin.

They confirmed that the first application is solely to clean the hair first before applying the second application for 3 - 5 mins.

So use a cheap cleansing shampoo instead of using up the expensive Revita shampoo at twice the rate and make it last twice as long thus saving 50% of the cost !

If you were only using it once anyway (ignoring the instructions), then it may be a good idea to pre-wash with a cheap cleansing shampoo anyway to follow the instructions as close as possible.

I knew thats what you meant, but that junk is also packing onto your scalp.

Removing junk. As in hair gel hair spray etc.

If you use topicals I believe it is important to remove that junk.

This does the trick and you can find a bigger bottle of a generic brand typically sitting right next to it.

Its not a critical aspect of a regimen by any means but I like it.

Cassin,

aren't the sulfates good at actually scrubbin the goop out of your hair/scalp? Whenever I use a shampoo with the SLS/ALS's in them I don't leave it on for any longer than 30s anyways.

Probably.

Salicylic acid also removes a bit of dead skin from the scalp, its found in a lot of acne treatments and stretch marks removal products.

The benefits for hair loss are probably not that great but I use it anyway. I like the way my hair feels when I use it.

Its one of the main ingredients found in Dr Lees over priced regrowth shampoo. :hairy:

There’s a shampoo from Neutrogena called Anti-Residue Shampoo.

http://www.drugstore.com/qxp14485_3...gena_shampoo/shampoo_anti_residue_formula.htm
The Anti-Residue Shampoo. Use once a week to make your favorite shampoo work better. Then return to your favorite shampoo and you'll find it working better than ever.
• Instantly removes up to 70% of dulling residue build-up caused by continuous use of even the best shampoos, conditioners and styling products.
• Cleans hair gently, rinses out thoroughly. For all hair types.
• Mild formula won't cause irritation
• For all hair types

I use it once a week after washing my hair with apple cider vinegar.
It really works and there’s nothing that makes my hair feel better.
