Hi Guys,

I've been using finasteride & Nizoral 2% (from Inhouse) for 2 weeks now and looking to add minoxidil after 1 month for some regrowth. However there appears to be various different kinds available.

Can you please recommend the best version to use and where it can be sourced in the UK?

Thanks

First off, be certain that you want to add minoxidil at this stage. If there's a chance that the finasteride/nizoral combo. will be sufficient (depends on extent of hair loss, its aggressiveness, level of gains you're after, etc.) then hold off on committing yourself to the twice-daily ritual of dumping minoxidil onto your scalp - thoroughly enjoyable though it is.

If you do decide to go that way, then may I suggest Kirkland minoxidil from eBay: you can get a six-month supply for $25 - $30 with P&P about another $15.

If you don't want to go the eBay route then try this lot: http://www.minoxidilshop.com/genmin.html

Of course you might prefer Rogaine Foam, less messy but not so cheap. Or perhaps the liquid at night & foam for the morning; a happy compromise of cost and convenience.

Slarti, this was my original intention, however I was advised on a previous post to start minoxidil straight away. I have attached my pic for you (and others) to view. In your opinion..start now or wait?

Always tough to advise others what to do. That said... if I were in your shoes I'd be minded to go for an all-out finasteride/minoxidil attack on my hair loss. finasteride by itself should do a good job of halting the deterioration and even give you some thickening as a bonus, and in a way it would be great to wait and see just how much progress it alone could give you, but with your stage of loss I'd want to chuck a growth stimulant in as well.
