Best way to dye stray grays for guys with drk brn/blk hair?

Hey guys, was looking for a section where this question could fit this question in but couldn't really find one so here it is:

I've had a few gray hairs for quite some time now. I mean my first gray hair came out when I was 15 but I've been plucking them for many years now without a problem. Lately, I've noticed after getting a hair cut that I'm starting to get more gray hairs than usual and it's starting to become a more noticeable.

I want to know what is the best way to dye/cover these stray gray hairs. I do not think it is necessary to dye my entire head because it's just a few. Note that I have dark brown/black hair. I have a short hair style and get hair cuts very often(about every 3 weeks or so). I could have sworn I saw some commercial on TV about hair dye for men that allowed you to dye just a few hairs by actually brushing the dye over them. I don't know if this is a product by "Just For Men" or not, I've tried searching but couldn't find it.

I've never used any hair dye and I don't even know where to begin, I've heard people that use Henna or temporary dyes, I'm hoping to get some advice from guys here that have short dark brown/black hair and cover a few stray grays like I do. Also, I've noticed that guys who dye their hair black looks very "emo"/"goth", so I'm wondering how does dark brown look? I think that might be best for me.

I don't mean to be rude, but please spare me the "just let it be natural" talk, I want the best effective strategy to deal with this and after trying it out, then I'll decide what to keep up with.

Wow no one here dyes their hair? I find that hard to believe.

I was thinking of using a brush or comb and apply dye to just the gray hairs, i dont know how this would work. I'm considering Just For Men because supposedly it's ammonia free, not too harsh, dyes "just the grays" and works in 5 minutes. I feel too young to be using this product but I felt the same way about Toppik and it's been great so far. I just want to dye a few stray grays across my head, I don't have a full head of gray hair the way I see in the commercials where the guy is dying his roots. Nobody here uses Just For Men or can provide any input about hair dying in general?

I don't know if this is going to help you but I've used a couple different coloring products. The first one I used was Redken Color Camo. I liked it a lot but it didn't seem to last very long. I recently tried Min New York's Color and it seems to last a bit longer so that's the one I'm sticking with for now. I would prefer to use something that just dyes the grays and leaves everything else alone but unless you just have a few strays (I have quite a bit more than that), I don't know how well Just For Men and the like will work. For me it's all about ease of application. If I could just shampoo something into my hair, let it sit for a few minutes so that it colors only the grays and then rinse it out, I would be all over it; however, having to brush something over every area that has gray hair is way too much work for me. I even tried Grecian Formula and Grayban but had to stop after one or two applications because the smell was unbearable.

If you decide to go the Just For Men route since you only have a few grays, please post back with your experiences.

How old are you? If you're older than say 30 I actually think the salt & pepper hair is rather cool. But if you really want to do it why don't you just dye it all?
