Thanks for your replies.
I read (on another site) about a gentleman who recently received just-under-8000 grafts in one sitting with Dr. H. In his pic, his scar appeared to go WAY past the top of his ears, and WAY into his temple area. He said that his strip was 30cm x 2cm, and his donor area was extremely dense.
I measured 30cm on my head, and it doesn't reach as far forward as that particular gentleman.
His seems to be an exceptional case, but it gets me thinking more about scarring issues (as well as shockloss) that a hair transplant recipient should seriously consider before taking the plunge.
It seems that hair transplant is the only viable current option to produce a really significant result, along with meds to prevent/deter future-loss. Yet surgery is a huge decision nonetheless.
I have a nice-shaped head for shaving (instead of hair transplant), but I feel that real hair, with a nice hairline to frame the face looks much more attractive.
Is there anyone here who has gone to a top Doctor like H and W, yet regretted their hair transplant decision due to the unwanted (long) scarring?
This site's info has been invaluable, and any personal insights would be appreciated.
