Hi,

I'm a 20 year old male, who recently just started losing hair along my hairline and began thinning on my crown. I've had a scalp biopsy, and the dermatologist said the results came back that my hair loss isn't hereditary. They recently took blood test to see if I have an autoimmune disorder, and in the mean time she's placed me on clobetasol propionate topical solution 0.05% strength. She says that I may have inflammation on my scalp, however, my scalp doesn't itch nor burn. Aside from using clobetasol, I am also using minoxidil twice daily, and I apply hydrocortisone (MWF) to assist with the inflammation. I'm a college student & I find it weird that over the summer of 2016 I had a full hairline. I'll upload pictures from last year and recently to better assist in helping me. Thank you! Lately this has been a real self-esteem killer

stress maybe? Theres really only one pic where it looks remotely like recession. Keep an eye on it if your family hairloss history is zero. Maybe try some minoxidil but I wouldnt go overboard yet.
Maybe shave it down and let it grow back. I think youd look good shaved.

I literally never seen a black dude that looks bad with a shaved head, too bad that white people look like cancer patients...

Haha thanks! I may go for the Saitama look! lol, but if you're a fan of anime, I presume you know that attack on titan season 2 has released

I was re-watching the first season now and i will start watching the second season when its close to the last episodes, watching on-going anime is a torture for me.

It doesn't look bad at all. The camera has a way of making things look thinner. I don't think you're thinning or losing hair at all. Put it in the back of your mind and enjoy your life. Take comfort in the fact that you're already a good looking dude and would look just fine with a buzz cut.

Don't spend too much time reading these forums. They can be bad for your health. Take care.

Derm said it's not male pattern baldness? To me in those pics the corners of the hairline are pretty clearly starting to go back in the male pattern baldness pattern compared to the ones where your hairline is straight across.

I'd consider getting a second opinion man. If you have male pattern baldness finasteride is your long term option

wtf, bro ur fine...even if you balded aggressively(which your not), you can pull off the shaved head look, judging by the pictures you posted. I mean I'm going to be honest, YOU CAN PULL OFF THE LOOK...just shave it bro. Michael Jordan shaved his head at a young age...and well he's a legend...so......don't even stress about it
