Blood In Urine Pls I Need Your Help

Hey folks. So I am a long term member of this forum.

And recently, about 4-5 days ago I noticed my urine being a little bit red towards the ending process of urination. Even after masturbation the semen is a little red. And I started worrying a lot, before that I had a very watery sperm about 4-5 months now and still do, but this is pretty common thing as far as I know while on finasteride, so I wasn't worrying. Also something stange happens for about 1 month now, every time I notice a lot of semen coming out several times during the day. This is clearly not O.K. and I wonder if all of those symptoms can be caused by finasteride or not. My potency though is still good and may be my libido is a little bit weaker than it used to be, I don't want that much, but I can still just about the same as before starting finasteride. I have been on finasterid for a year now exactly. The first half a year I was on a regular dose, which is 1,25 mg. (5 mg. generic Finasterid cut into 4 pieces), later for about 3 months I switched to 2,5 mg. a day and the last 3 months I am on 5 mg. a day. If you wonder why I upped my dose, that's because I didn't see any noticable progress in hair growth so I was really desperate to do something about it, I think it only did it worse, I am still shedding like crazy and this seems to have no end

PS: I don't feel pain when urinating.

Looks like urine trouble.

Seriously, though, you should se a GP AT ONCE. It could be serious. He'll tell you what's wrong and, eventually, make you see an urologist. Finasteride is most probably not causing it, it's not a side effect correlated to it.

I actually experienced something like this when taking finasteride. It was so f*****g scary. I had been suffering the common testicular ache, and I had noticed it would be exacerbated sometimes by coffee, which I am addicted too. Anyways, one day I ejaculated blood. The scariest thing I'm telling you. I went to my general Doctor and a urologist and I had given myself prostatitis. My prostate was inflamed like a motherfucker. They gave me muscle relaxers for the pain and it went away eventually but I had to get off the medicine sadly....

I had been suffering the common testicular ache, and I had noticed it would be exacerbated sometimes by coffee, which I am addicted too. Anyways, one day I ejaculated blood. The scariest thing I'm telling you. I went to my general Doctor and a urologist and I had given myself prostatitis. My prostate was inflamed like a motherfucker. They gave me muscle relaxers for the pain and it went away eventually but I had to get off the medicine sadly....

@worrywart So after all this was caused by finasteride? I wonder if I should immediately stop taking it.

Finasteride, it's not a side effect correlated to it.

Sounds like a urinary tract infection. If so, you will need antibiotics. At any rate you need to see a Doctor. You can't get rid of it on your own.

Do not assume this was finasteride. This is not a known side effect of finasteride, so assuming that caused it would be irresponsible. You need to make an appointment with your doctor regardless, as it could be very serious.

Alright, I will see a doctor, but just to make sure. I will stop finasteride for now, just for a while, and if it wasn't the case, I will continue using it. Thanks everyone.
