After spending alot of money for private bloodtests to see if anything was causing my hairloss....i got the followingback...if anyone has any idea that something might be off please say so, should i see a dermatologist to discuss them instead of a regular doctor?
Brief history: NW2 going towards NW3. 28 years old...hair transplant is inevitable, just need to figure out how to combat what i have, not much success on finnestride or minoxidil.

Your blood serum DHT levels are low - once again an indication that this doesn't mean anything. I was pumped when I received my test results after being on finasteride to realize my DHT levels were at the bottom of the acceptable spectrum - 3 months later and my hair started falling out more rapidly than ever in my life. Your Iron is great and you vitamin D is fine. These tests aren't going to reveal anything unfortunately. FSH doesn't even have anything to do with Androgenetic Alopecia... I don't know what you want to hear man.

My point being - blood tests aren't going to reveal anything in relation to male pattern baldness, unless you are losing hair rapidly due to a SERIOUS deficiency

I am just trying to find out the route of the problem of my hairloss as i didnt respond well too finesteride or minoxidil, so blood tests can reveal the source of the problem if something is noticeably high or low. I wasnt after reversal, more of a investment to see if anything will reveal itself, whats the point of trying different solutions and medications and spending loads of money each year when you have no idea what you are combating. Just because you use finnesteride doesnt mean that is what is required.
I will see a dermatologist with all the results, if he says everything is fine and nothing indicates hairloss, i will just leave scratching my head as its difficult to know where to go from here., all i want is to find something to maintain.

So what is the next best route to explore if none of your results indicate hairloss....?

That's smart, the more thoroughly you know your body, the better. I am just saying, you can go bald with completely normal levels. You can be a poor responder to minoxidil and finasteride with completely normal levels. No blood test is going to tell you anything about why you're balding. I had test results very similar to yours. Finasteride made my hair much, much worst. Minoxidil doesn't seem to be working anymore either. I am using dutasteride, RU and 15% minoxidil right now - hair is still falling out like crazy and I am balding faster than ever.

Do you have any other hair/scalp issues?

Did you also get testosterone tested?

Well i have no idea what to do if nothing shows up. dutasteride i wont touch due to sides. RU- not sure what how successful that has been? - no i didnt get tested for testosterone, i missed that out, will probably get that sorted soon.
Very frustrating, as the last thing you want to do is get a hairtransplant, spend all that money and you still are losing the rest of your hair....

It would be good to consult your expert doctor for the treatment first for discussing about treatment option suitable for you, the cost to be charged and sittings.

Dude..who advice you this test..
Don't waste money..

Hairloss ..can be two..reason..

For general patients .
1)male pattern baldness..

2) thyroid disorders..

While..
You can have Telogen effluvium when you suffered hairloss after stress on body about 100 days before like Typhoid fever..infectious diseases causing stress to body..

Test for t3..t4..tsh only for hairloss.

DHT is present in all human beings
DHT makes you man in embryo..
It is just like code for testis development from bipotential gonads in embryo inside female uterus..

So don't need to measure DHT..

after male pattern baldness...thyroid is the second culprit in general cases...so it will help your whole body if thyroid hormone got disturbed..

If its in normal range..concentrate on male pattern baldness only..

I am going to see a dermatologist with with results. I havent gad much success in combating hairloss, so some questions:

1. Which minoxidil? - and does 5 or 15% make a difference - as well as azelic acid?
2. Any point in investing in a laser comb?
3. Propecia or proscar ? - i always think if the tablet is largerit will get absorbed more?
4. RU?

All comments welcome....
