When I say Middle East I'm talking Arabs, Pakistanis, Muslims. Israelis are largely European.
If you google hairy backs most of the guys you'll see are high norwoods, with probably at least half being NW7. There's probably something to it.
Bulgaria and Romania both seem to be among the worst for hair genes, so you got it bad from both sides I'd say. I'd love to see some studies on the amounts of DHT in men with different body hair profiles. I suspect that it's both high DHT and AR sensitivity.
That's just my own personal, limited observation.
Perhaps, but there's no overarching reason why people go bald. Low T in feminine men can cause high DHT to compensate. I don't often see feminine men go bald though if they are in shape, only if they have an obviously poor diet and sedentary lifestyle. AR sensitivity is the most highly correlated gene with male pattern baldness. Men with two G alleles often go bald while men with two A alleles almost never go bald. I have two A alleles, so I guess that means my DHT is off the charts.
I don't know, I haven't really seen much in the way of people claiming to lose body hair on finasteride, so it may not lower DHT enough for people with very high baseline levels. That happens more with dutasteride. Anyways, you can always take a dna test to find out your AR sensitivity. You most likely have at least one G allele.
where do you even get it doneI wouldn't do it just for hair loss, but for everything else they tell you it's worth it.
I'm here to break your theory, Middle Eastern, zero body hair, normal-high testosterone levels and still balding. That's actually a mystery but it's 100% related.
although I don't think it's the amount of body hair, more like WHERE is the body hair.
I'm from the middle east (israel) and unlike what people think most people here are not harrier than in other westren countries, although they are just as much as bald. I see many people going bald without much body hair, I also have a friend who is very hairy and has a great full head of hair at 28.
what I did notice, and honestly I've yet to encounter someone who broke my theory, is that if you're hairy in unusual places, shoulders, back, sides of the torso, upper arms, then you'll 100% go bald, literally every single dude I've seen that was hairy in those places was also balding, including myself.
first I've read that it may be higher sensitivity to DHT thus growing hair in those areas of the body, but that kinda did not make sense because there are many guys who bald earlier in life who barely have any body hair.
then someone on this forum said it might not be high sensitivity to dht, but actually just high amounts of DHT in the body. again I cannot confirm this and it's probably not 100% accurate because every person is different.
the only thing I can confirm is that any guy who is hairy in those areas of the body will go bald.

Lol your "stepdad".....is lying to you. He must have a permanent hairoiece. There's no way he doesn't have grey hair at 60.....that or he dyes it.Yeah my step dad has lots of hair on his chest and back etc and still has a perfect hair line with no greying at 60.
I'm Bulgarian and I must say this is bullshit. I've been inspecting other peoples hair subconsciously ever since i noticed my hair loss, but more than 90% of the people in their 20s here are NW1. Most people seem to start losing in their late 30s.Bulgaria and Romania both seem to be among the worst for hair genes, so you got it bad from both sides I'd say. I'd love to see some studies on the amounts of DHT in men with different body hair profiles. I suspect that it's both high DHT and AR sensitivity.
It's possible. My grandad had most of the color in his hair and I've always went with him for haircuts as a kid, witnessing him sit on the chair, so it couldn't be a hairpiece. Even more so since those weren't really available hereLol your "stepdad".....is lying to you. He must have a permanent hairoiece. There's no way he doesn't have grey hair at 60.....that or he dyes it.
OK so there's 70% balding over here but only 2 guys in my class of 300 fall into that 70% and they're NW3 at worst. I guess we're quite lucky thenThis should correlate well with baldness.

I don't know where this data was pulled from, but it matches up pretty well.
