Don't assume that you will be saved by Tsuji in 2020. You'll still have to wait 2 years to see the full potential of the results as it always happens and frankly I don't think many of us will be able to afford it at first even if we sold our family houses.

But there are many things that you must take into account when you cope about the upcoming cures and treatments; especially when you are 20-something:
1. The delays, the fact that nothing wortwhile may come out. (This one is obvious, I'm not saying that better treatments will not come)
2. Your response to the upcoming treatment (which can also depend on your age, Norwood level. The fullhead of hair is only the best case scenario sadly even if the world fucked us out of nowhere, don't expect it can cure us out of nowhere too.)
3. The actual potential results of the treatments (So far, none of the results on actual humans are that great, no great regrowth photos in all of the upcoming treatments).
4. If a new treatment comes out you will test each treatment first, it will not give you significant regrowth immediately. 2-3 years are necessary to evaluate the full potential of a treatment on yourself.
5. Some of the new treatments may be very costly and limited. Pray for Kyocera to mechanize Tsuji's process to cut costs as @Fuji Maru Kagurazaka noted.
6. If you don't take finasteride or rub Minoxidil you're only increasing your baldness.
7. You may still need a transplant with all of the potential future treatments, and a very expensive one if you're very very bald.

1: You're right except for products like Propecia, and Minoxidil (I know long time ago)
2. Yep
3.Replicel has showed that their product can stabilize your hair loss for at least a few years, Brotzu claims their product can bring back 5 years of hair, photos aren't that important (just look at Histogen)
4.If a treatment comes out almost always they have released safety and efficiency trials obviously every treatment is different for every person but you should have an idea based on other people.
5. Extremely true
6. True but sometimes those can't be tolerated due to side effects.
7.Haha look at Elon Musk 1999 and look at him now, he was a Norwood 5 about, now he's a thick 2 wonder what the f*** he's taking, obviously a transplant too.

That's why I knew I should not hesitate about having a second FUE.

You always have a few people here tell you that "what if the cure™ or a better treatment comes out?"

When it comes to hair loss at a young age, time is of the essence.

Why am I having my hair transplant in January 2018? Because I couldn't have more days off in 2017, because it's the soonest I could do it and also because I have lost just enough hair at the back of my head so it will be worth it.

I can't afford to wait, and I would feel guilty if I didn't exhaust all the solutions that we have available today.

My point is, do not base your decision on those predictions about new treatments that may or may not come out. If you're NW2, take your medication, if you're past NW3, get a FUE, do not wait for some miracle that may never come.

Why no finasteride all those years tho ? You could have maybe avoid this second FUE

This was drug-induced (not by finasteride though), there was no way I'd ever risk going through that nightmare (as if hair loss was not enough) again.

Before this happened to me, I had always had this intuition I should not take finasteride, I cannot really explain why. I wish I had never found out that I was right not to take it.

So yeah, all that's left for me is minoxidil, FUE's and if it's ever needed: beard grafts and temporary SMP.

Yeah, makes sense, hard choice

How do you know that it will take 2 years to see results?

Frankly, we don't know anything. We don't know how effective it will be, how much it will cost or when it will be released.

So all we can do is just wait.

Useless post really.

Hair tranplants, the nature of hair cycles. I'm sayng to see the full result it will logically take 2 years.

It doesn't take 2 years to see results of a hair transplant.

You'll have a decent amount of hair within a couple of months. Most of the time.

I'm talking about full results. Many people see no significant improvement until 1 year, same with finasteride and other treatments.

This a fallacy based on incomplete knowledge and thinking. As the hair miniaturised it's going into catagen prematurely, meaning the hair cycles are becoming shorter and shorter. By the time the hairs are approaching vellus the cycles are down to just a few weeks. So if a treatment can supply a full complement of functioning DP cells to a vellus follicle at once, it will go from vellus to terminal in a few weeks.

You forgot the years of safety data in your original post

My cousin has gyno worse than Polar Bear's, but not massive. Fullhead with no problems with women. He doesn't give a f*** about it.
