Bryan, are you not universally recognised as the most knowledgeable man on the internet regarding hairloss?

Why don't you cash in and write a book or get a radio show like that other guy?

So much knowledge could be put to good use.

my suggestion would be for our board to start "Ask Bryan" section.
Anyway, Bryan is answering many questions asked of him.

Yes, but Bryan, but I would like to see you give fuller answers. And I've been observing this for many, many years on this forum.

You do tend to answer questions rather incompletely, just enough to address the question, but no more - forcing us to keep asking more and more questions.

What I suggest is writing a 'book' or something, and getting it all out there, instead of a paragraph here and there.

I mean this with all due respect.

Give the guy a break... and maybe he answers like that for a reason, to maintain his mysteriousness....i think he's very mysterious. don't you guys too?

It's true, I came to a major quandary in my life, when it just dawned upon myself how simple a question I needed to ask myself:
"What Would Bryan Do?"
This solved everything, and I am now living a happy existence on an organic llama farm in Xanadu.

[Collapsing to the floor in a dead faint...picking myself up and dusting myself off...] You're saying that _I_ answer questions incompletely?? Wow...

I'll admit that years ago (like going all the way back to alt.baldspot), I used to go into TOO MUCH detail, like posting multi-page replies with full citations to the medical literature. But I slowly realized that I was mostly wasting my time and energy. Look at how the very same questions get repeated over and over and over and over, despite the fact that they've already been answered over and over, by myself and others. Nowadays my answers are somewhat more direct and to-the-point, but I'm shocked that anyone would consider them to be "incomplete".

If anyone posts follow-up questions, I'm delighted to post follow-up answers. I consider that to be more efficient than posting a huge TOME of a reply each time, because it shows me exactly what's on the person's mind, and I can avoid wasting both my time and theirs.

i tried the same thing but with Astroboi, and found that one can only fit so many batteries up his arse before things take a turn for the worse.

You know Bryan, Global has a pretty good point. Why don't you gather up the posts you've made, that you feel are the most important, and put them into something like a guide that someone could download from the internet?

You could charge a few bucks for this and make a little cash. Nothing wrong with that.

Btw, stop the da** blushing!

Bryan, that is so Zen! Alan Watts would be proud.

Where you been lately, Chuck? Haven't heard from you in a long time!

I'd be curious to know which specific part of all that you consider to have Zen qualities. BTW, I've always been interested in Zen myself, and I've read a couple of Watts' books on the subject. I also did "est" back in the 70's, which is sort of a Westernized version of Zen (I wonder what Werner Erhard would think of that characterization! :) ).

Hey Bryan. Yeah, I haven't been here for a long time. I just recently thought I would come back and see if anything was new.

The Zen statement? I just thought the simplicity of your appraoch--doing just what was necessary and not making much of a fuss of it--sounded kind of Zen-like. Although I'll have to admit I do not know that much about Zen. I had a copy of Alan Watt's book maybe 20 odd years ago but never finished it. I was into Theosophy back then, hehe. I think it was just a little more colorful for me at the time. I plan on getting a copy though. I have been reading a little about Tibetan Buddhism recently. I am not really familiar with est. I do remember hearing about it years ago though--maybe some seminars or camps or something. It actually sounded kind of rough.

I am glad to see that you are still here. You have a lot to share and I think that it is really cool of you to hang out and give away what you have. Seeya, Chuck :D
