Hey everyone.

I just turned 20 and I noticed a huge loss of hair and its getting worse day by day. I decided to take action. I signed up to this forum, lol.

Thing is, I have a receding hair-line AND a nice growing round baldness on the top of my hair. My hair is very thin on the top as well.

After much reading, I decided to go with Proscar/Propecia (Will go out and get a prescription tomorrow) but does that also help the receding hair line? I read that drugs like Rogain/Minoxidil does not help the receding hair line but only works on top, but what about Proscar/Propecia?

Short Story: Started thinning around 18, close to 21 now, small receeded hairline, a lot of diffuse thinning on top, small thinning on vertex.

First off, I think you meant Proscar, not Prozac. Proscar is the same chemical (finasteride) as Propecia, but Proscar comes in a 5mg pill which you can split into 1 or 1.25mg parts where as Propecia comes in 1mg pills.

As far as I know, Minoxidil and Finasteride can regrow hair at the hairline.
They are just not allowed to advertise it because there has never been an approved clinical study to see if it would. I know a lot of people use rogaine for their hairline and i have heard some people say it works.

Also, you say you are thinning on the top of your head. From what I have heard, diffuse thinners tend to have good results with finasteride, or so I am hoping.

Yes!

Your regimen should consist of:

1mg of Finasteride per day (Proscar, Propecia finpecia etc etc)
2 applications of minoxidi 5% per day (Rogaine, Kirkland, Dr Lee etc etc)
Nizoral shampoo used three times a week
