Buzz length – Thinning??

Hi,

I’m new to the forum and would like your honest opinions. I’m 33 years old and the pictures are using a wahl clipper with 1.5 attachment (4.5mm or 3/16â€￾).

Do you think I’m thinning?

I’ve been buzz cutting on the 1.5 for a few years now and have noticed that the hair on my crown grows very slowly compared to the sides of my head.

Should I drop to a 1 attachment (3mm)? I’ve never gone lower than this length and have no idea how it would look on me!

Any thoughts or advice would be most appreciated.

Yes I think it is clear you are thinning in the last picture (in brighter light). I would give a lower guard a go!

You are absolutely thinning. I would start finasteride and minoxidil 5% liquid as soon as possible to get maintenance +regrowth of your hair longterm

Thanks for the quick replies. I will give the 1 guard (3mm) a go and research into finasteride etc.

sorry to bump this thread, but does the 1-1/2 (4.5mm) guard work well for buzzing it all over?

the thing about whatever, you're thinning, period. So... finasteride, is your friend at this point.
