let me explain, when i apply minoxidil on the front, if i try 1 ml, seems like too much at one time. If i put 0.25ml let say at 8:00AM, them few more at 12h00, then an other 0.25ml at 1h00, then the rest at 5h00 (for a total of 1ml) Do you guys think that would be ok ?

Hi,

Are you using regular over the counter Minoxidil? If you are you are probably wasting your time using it on the front of your head. You can read any label regardless of the brand and they all basically say minoxidil is effective at treating hairloss on the top or crown of the head. I can tell you from my own personal trials over the last 10 or so years there are products available that combine minoxidil with other ingredients that make absorbsion on other areas of the scalp, where the scalp is thicker, much more effective.

Minoxidil can work all over the head regardless of what the box says...it was only tested on the crown, therefore they can only claim it works on the crown. It has worked better for me on the front/hairline/temples.

Exactly. It's just due to legal red-tape that they can't ADVERTISE that minoxidil works anywhere you apply it. As long as new readers keep showing up on these hairloss sites, we'll have to keep repeating this message from time to time!

mate, there is no way u want to be doing 5x apps per day, that is not a good idea. just do it 1ml morning and 1ml evening. 1ml isnt too much, its the required dose.

serious, ud soon get fed up of doing what u suggested.

get some 5% kirkland minoxidil, thats what i think.

well i was assuming that by putting just a little, like 0.25ml and then repeating the process couple of hours after would keep the minoxidil from fripping on my front head... By putting just 0.25 i have better chance to rub with my finger to let it penetrate the skin.
Overall, i never put more than 2 ml per day.

Also by putting 1/4 dose at a time seems diminish the flake caused by non absorbed minoxidil that dry on your head. ( A big +)

I agree with Andrew. 1 ml twice a day should work fine. If you want a boost maybe try some retin-a.

You guys didn't really listen to what he said. He's not worried that it won't work if he were to apply it in the standard way, his complaint is one of practicality. He says it drips too much when he applies a mL all at once.

So yes, grabber, it's perfectly ok if you want to apply it the way you said. In fact, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it actually worked a bit BETTER that way.

actually that is what i tought, puting little by little would or might be more efficient since it give the chance of absorbing the minoxidil better. Thanks for responding.
