Thinking about starting minoxidil but worried that if one day I was to stop taking it my hair would end up looking up worse than if I just had stayed on finasteride. Any thoughts ?

If your hair's state is acceptable to you as it is, then no need to start minoxidil, be happy with what you got. However, if your hair has unacceptable density then maybe minoxidil could be good, it just needs a lot of dedication, applying it twice a day could be a hassle for you. Also, yes, if you put on minoxidil for like a year or 2 then stop it's going to 1-kill all the hair you grew with minoxidil 2-kill some of the hair you originally had.

So you basically becoming completely dependent on it as you would lose hairs that finasteride has maintained. That doesn’t sound worth it to me.
