Can ru58841 hair be maintained with Dutasteride?

My hairs have miniaturised on the scalp, and are vellus on the temple but I can see them becoming becoming terminal.

If you use Dutasteride, and incorporate RU to help with regrowth, since less androgens will allow for faster regrowth etc. Since RU isn’t a growth stimulant, after you get results with the combination of RU and dutasteride, can you discontinue the RU and maintain the hair with Duta alone. RU is a topical AA after all, so I can’t see why not, especially on something as nuclear as 2.5mg dutasteride a day.

Only substances that are feminizing seem able to regrow hair. RU doesn't seem to be feminizing. Ergo, RU does not grow hair.

Oral min grows hair but not like estrogen-shaped molecules. Nothing else works at all really.

There used to be scores of guys on here, the best and the brightest working feverishly for a cure or even improvement and many of these guys refused to use finasteride or dutasteride so their situations were really hopeless. They did group purchases of different things and added Metformin and none of them ever grew a single hair. If RU worked at all, those guys would still be on here. I always felt sorry for them.

such bs. RU is the single best thing i have used for maintaining my hair on and off steroids. dutasteride/finasteride doesn't feminize sh*t. I've been on 2.5mg for ages now absolutely 0 regrets.

As someone who's been around for 10 years and lurking for even longer than that, I remember those days. I remember the hype for tsuji, for follica, for that stupid italian hairloss lotion (forgot the name), replicel, and a bunch of other things that fell to the test of time. IIRC, yes many of those dudes refused to get on a 5 ar inhibitor, but some did and even that didn't work for them. Feminizing drugs are the only real thing that one with advanced hairloss stands a chance with (exception being hyper responders, but even that doesn't last. I should know, I was a hyper responder 12 years ago. Now I'm back in the saddle...

5ari arent feminizing. dht isnt the male hormone since its effects are mostly paracrine. Testosterone is the main circulating androgen. all it does is prevent your hair getting raped, and in duts case prevent the lost of elastin and prevents the upregulation of sebaceous glands.only if you consider sh*t skin quality and norwood masculine is 5ari feminizing.

What backwards logic. “If RU worked (meaning no more hairloss) they would still be browsing hair loss forums” 10/10 logic mate. if anything it’s more likely it worked, they have no reason to be here if it did. as with me, ru worked wonders when combined with dutasteride. hair is no longer an issue. only reason i’m replying is become i got some email from the response below, which im about to turn off and delete this account since there is no point in being here since ru and dutasteride did work.

I know 5 ari aren't feminizing. I've been on finasteride for over a decade and added dutasteride intermittently on top of that. DHT is a useless, trash hormone. Most here understand this.

Yet 5 ari aren't always enough, especially for young people with aggressive hairloss over the long term. So on that the other person is right that feminizing drugs (estrogen, cpa, etc) are much more likely to provide substantially more regrowth.
