This is a tough one. With longer hair alot of people sides can look similar to that. If its limited to one side. It could be thyroid related, if it gets thin and whispy and near the nape, its whisker hair. But i promise you, its not the oral minoxidil. It won't go completely bald. Maybe try some topical minoxidil there with some nizoral shampoo. And if you are experiencing regular male pattern baldness also, try finasteride. It may help. And if all else fails, drop the oral minoxidil and see if it helps. And I've heard some people are very sensitive to testosterone and dht and eperience bad hairloss but have had results with dutasteride and spironolactone but side effects are possible and bad. I hope any of this helps. And if you have long hair, it really covers that area so dont worry : )Ear**** Sorry for all the posts. But this area is so thin above the ear. Can it go completely bald? Still think I could have Telogen Effluvium from oral min.
I think oral minoxidil gave me that too and I don’t know what to do.Ear**** Sorry for all the posts. But this area is so thin above the ear. Can it go completely bald? Still think I could have Telogen Effluvium from oral min.
A little over a month on 2.5 twice a day. I did like .45 a day for like a month or two before thoughYea man that’s what I was saying. I shed a f*** ton from that area right when I started taking oral min. How long you been on it?
Also how the f*** do I make my own post on the forumsYea man that’s what I was saying. I shed a f*** ton from that area right when I started taking oral min. How long you been on it?
I just don’t know if I should continue the 5mg a day if it did cause it telogen. I’m just not sure if it eventually stops.I do 5 mg a day. The thinning on the sides has stopped. Maybe be filling in a little. Still now sure.
