NOT MINE. some BHT patient of Dr Umar. I am thinking of going there. I am just afraid that i will have hair that looks like pube on my head. I haven t seen decent results from BHT yet.

BY the way, i sincerley think that BHT is our best bet to actually increase the donor quantity in the near future. I have seen nothing from the HM side ( after readings) that insure (1) that a solution to baldness is possible (2) that it is near. For me I would say nothing before 2015. I might be pessimistic but procedures take long time to be perfected.

Anyway.... any ideas on BHT and the "pubic" look would be very well recieved.

by Telogen Effluvium way I pulled few hair from my body to compare it with my head hair:
1- leg hair can be of the same thickness.
2- chest hair is thicker than my head hair.
3- BOTH leg and chest hairs have one , i guess BAD, characteristic : they are a bit more curly. THey are just not straight. ( although they are not the kind of hair that grows in circles). But NOT straight.
4- My chest hair falls easily and is pulled out easily.

I know there isn t enough studies maybe, but what do you make of this ?

You happened to provide the single most successful BH transplant ever performed, in case you didnt know.

Perhaps if Dr A showed you the 50 others that grew nothing you would have a different opinion.

This isnt a bash on Dr A, no one has provided consistent results from BH and every Dr has one or two results that worked and dozens of others that did not.

What can I say? I had several thousand BH grafts planted on me that were extracted from my chest, abs, back and shoulders and I had little to no appreciable growth. I know the hair didnt grow back on my body because I can clearly see where it was taken, so what happened?

When you figure it out tell me and I will be sure to tell the BH Drs too.

balloonman :

thanks for your response and sharing your story. I wanted to hear a good story about BHT but it seem to be rare. and your story made it worse. But It' OK. I need to know the truth. Why did this happen for you by the way ? Now I saw many pics of BHT patients who at least had the extraction spots disappear. Is this a trick ? Did you pick the worst doctor ?
where do you think I can get the most objective opinion about BHT

I didnt pick the worst Dr, I am very happy with my choice of Drs and their is no "scarring" from the Bh I had removed, only gaps in the skin from where they were taken. Like scalp FUE, if the tools used for extraction are small enought then there is a high probability you will see nothing in the areas they were taken. I also happen to be pretty hairly so, any dot scarring would be mostly covered by the hair I have remaining.

thanks for the response. Well I am VERY glad that there are no scars.

1- did you shave your body in these pics or is it that you r hairy but not very desnly hairy like me ? [ there is a doctor in new york who did a scale for BHT based on the type of body hair ].

2- how long ago was this - when you say you didn t grow much : do you have a recent picture ?

3- Why is it that he uses body hair for the front- isn t the front the most important part ?

Thanks so much and hopefully you don t mind answering my questions

I am very hairy but, my entire body was shaved prior to the FUE so the inter op and post op photos show little to no hair because it was shaved and extracted. I am fully hairy right now.

The date should be on the thread but, it was about a year ago, I didnt check so thats a guess.

He didnt use body hair on the front, he used scalp hair on the hairline and the rest behind the hairline.

I use nape neck hair for the hairline because it is the softest and finest on my head but, that is still considered scalp not body.

thanks. Do you have recent pictures then ? casue I assume the ones you have on the website are post-op - few days/weeks after.
What happened a year after, and why are you not happy ?

If it were me, and I decided to use BH, I would first do some smaller test sessions extracting BH from varying regions of the body like BM did.

If the corresonding yield was not good, I would not commit to larger sessions. In addition, one can get a preliminary peak at the varying aesthetics from the varying regions.
