I know the OP from another site as well, but with different username and guess how I know that... read on.

I am not bashing you but I have serious thoughts about your mental state now. I can show you your million postings each and everyone strikingly similar in tone, boasting about something new breakthrough and with proprietary absolute sayings that go something like " i'm convinced this combo is the BEST combo for fighting a receding hairline...." and temples and frontal etc..... I mean you keep making such posts with a brief pop up every now and then introducing something new gimmick BUT RECYCLING same pictures for all posts ostensibly representing your success with the gimmick you came up with this time.

First, I thought you were promoting sale for financial gains, but your potions are getting so varied and with no links for referral financial gains; so I am thinking you need attention to feel good about yourself?

I do not engage in such kinds of rubbish talks on the internet, but I am so sorry that I had to finally step in to protect other forum readers from illusions and false hopes that you might be propagating whether intentionally or by uncontrolled impulses of yours

He uses too many things to (I think) know what is doing what and to be doing it for financial gain...in fact he buys all kinds of (not cheap) stuff for others to use. I think he's just over-enthusiastic about what he uses and is convinced they're working for him. This coming from someone who's irritated the heck out of him on his use of Proctor crap  ..but we still get along just fine.

He has admitted he has BDD. This is the typical behavior of someone with BDD. How do I know because I used to be like Mark/Israelite with trying everything under the sun looking for the holy grail to thicken up my hairline and increase overall density. Like Jacob said he is very passionate about trying to spread his HOPE to others with whatever he uses. Nothing wrong about trying to spread hope but some of it may obviously be false hope for some. The fact that he posts so many pictures is his way to get everyone else to validate he is successful on his treatments. He wants approval and that is typical of BDD sufferers. Thats why many come on here for validation. I used to be like him with Proxiphen and Proctor products but I realized I don't need any validation from anyone as I know what works for me and what does not. He has toned down his excessive posting and is starting to realize his passion to help everyone else is backfiring because most people don't understand his true intention. BDD is not easy to overcome. Trust me, we seek validation all the time. Low self esteem and envy feed our BDD and it makes us think and act irrational. I have done very controlling my BDD but its a struggle every day. So Mentalist, I do agree with your perspective but sometimes you have to understand certain people with mental conditions will do things irrational but without malicious intent. I wish I did not have this mental condition every day of my life but I am doing the best I can to deal with it. I think the OP is doing better now with his condition hopefully.

Ok..throwing the Prox crap in there again..is.......(even if I started it lol )
I saw your other discussion on that at HLH when the topic had nothing to do with even topicals. Mentioned my name there too. But I've already gone over what you said there previously. Plain minoxidil instead of another combo. Quitting Neogenic. Etc :smack:

LOL Jacob, you love to be the antagonist don't you? I read your posts about Leon Maliniak. Your claws and fangs came out in that thread. Are you that confrontational in "real life"? I still miss the Cat and Mouse chase with you and Bryan. Those threads were classic. And let's not forget the ones with Sandman. Those were the good old days. Jacob, you are definitely a legend!!!!!!!

Mentalist, thanks for the support and understanding. Most hair loss forums are basically full of hair BDD sufferers. Most posters are young NW1 who are just noticing a "mature hairline" for the very first time and panic because hair has been brainwashed in our mind as a sign of sexiness, manliness, and youth. And at the first sign of change, most jump to the conclusion they are going to be bald. Mind you, I know some will really go bald so I understand their concern. So they come on here for validation. I have seen some post the same photos over and over and over again on all the forums. They are looking for someone to tell them its not bad or you don't have hair loss. And they will start on Propecia as prevention just so they can ease their mind. However, when they get the first shed, they will be back on the forums in panic again for more validation. Its a vicious cycle that never ends. These forum are the only support these guys seek. However, people like me try to help as I have been there and have been able to suppress my condition. I am only here for the brotherhood of my fellow BDD sufferers. I am kind of like a Spencer Kobren for the forum. Spencer and I are so much alike its incredible.

Would anyone care to mention any products with a good repuatation (and I know it wont work on everyone) for helping the hairline?

Adam, all you have to work with that is not experimental is Propecia and Minoxidil. That's all for now. I have tried to save my hairline and failed with all treatments. I know Rahal is my only savior to give me back what I lost. Keep using those and stick with it until something better comes along but so far a hair transplant will give what you want.
