This means that I will stop taking castor oil orally once my bottle runs out.

Woah woah. So you're saying Castor Oil is bad for hair? I mean it doesn't massively lower your testosterone, just a bit?

I did try to read the paper but I just woke up so it all kinda went over my head.

For f*** sakes. Even the natural supplements I take for hair health ether contain fenu Greek or foti, essentially phytoestrogens.

Now I have not noticed any sides other than a slight fatigue compared to when I'm off the pills, but the lack of zest is noticeable.

I'm still horny as hell but not raging like a young 20 something should be.

God if your out there please deliver us a side effect free solution that does not f*** with our manly hood.

Even natural solutions like castor oil are like castration FFS!

I hope brutzo is essentially side effect free. Then we need histogen and shesido to hurry the F up!

Phytoestrogens aren't necessarily bad.

Soy contains phytoestrogen, but it actually seems to slow down breast cancer, which is what aromatase inhibitors do.

A can't imagine a lowering off testosterone will always give you sexual side effects.

Hormonal levels can change throughout the day and nothing much will change in your body. Also they might have pumped the mice full of castor oil. There body size to oil ratio was possibly way more extreme than a full grown adult male drinking 1ml a day of the stuff.

Until you find the same study done in humans with similar results, you can safely conclude this doesn't happen.
Alternatively, why not just test it? Take your T sample before and after say 2-3 months of high dose castor oil, and see if that's true.
If we took every mouse study at face value none of us would ever take anything.

Mice. What grows 83 hairs in mice, grows 2 hairs in humans. I bet if castor oil lowers T in mice by 83%, it lowers it by 2% in humans.

Uh, ok :D, what I meant is that for some it could be helpful less testosterone means less DHT to be converted. Correct me if I am wrong :)

Yes, it could be the case. However, that's not taking into account any potential androgen receptor upregulation nor the other physiological and psychological effects from lower testosterone.

I'm kind of miffed by this finding, too. Here I was, thinking I was finally doing something innocuous for my hair and potentially getting some modest benefits.

People who take internal castor oil, they get more body hair.. I really can't believe that this lowers testosterone...

It might be true, but I would be very cautious taking rat studies as proof of anything. Rats are very very different then people so I understand its the best they have, but its not very accurate a lot of times

Yes that's true.

There are also other studies which report a permament decrease of testosterone because of the damage on the testes.

Anyway, I took approx. 50 ml over the timespan of 1 month and my nipples got swollen from it, night sweats occured, lost muscle mass and sperm was a lot more less.

Castor Oil is known already in poor countries as a contraceptive for male and female. We just didn't know...

Got anything to back up those bold claims?

Do you have any studies for this and what about using topically ?
