I’m 18 years old and I’ve always had fair hair and a high hairline but I’ve often been able to deal with it using some pomades and thickening shampoo. While my hairline is not ideal, it’s one that is similar to my father and grandfather who had something similar to a Norwood 2/3 their whole life without balding. The only history of balding in my family comes from my maternal uncles. In the past year, however, I’ve noticed that the bangs I usually have seem to be different with clumping and less volume. While my crown shows no signs of hair loss the cowlick in the back seems to have hairs sticking up a bit more frequently. Is this a sign of thinning or recession to my hairline? Balding in the future? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
