Changing brands/Cutting a round Finasteride pill

After a year of cutting 5mg tablets in 5ths (a little tricky but doable since the Teva version is an elongated oval), my pharmacy has changed manufacturers. The latest batch is a round blue pill manufactured by Northstar (it also says something about 'Biconvex' on the receipt.)

Anyone familiar with this version or taking it? I guess I'm just looking for a little reassurance since I've become so used to my old brand. Also, I'd love any tips for cutting this round pill into 5ths. Thanks in advance.

I cut up my 5 mg finasteride in the exact same way. The generic 5mg was the same price as Propecia 1mg so in effect it cost my 5x less for the (hopefully) same thing.

How did a year on the cut up finasteride work for you? I stopped taking mine about 3 months ago because I became scared of the of the libido side effects even though I didn't experience anything but "brain-cloud".

I got the round pill. I used to cut them up in 5th but its alot easier to cut in 4ths.

.25 is not going to effect you in anyway other than blocking a tad bit more dht. If you end up taking a little more other days it doesn't matter because it will even out anyways.
