The comb-forward style, buzz cut or mohawk are the only three I think looks really good with large temples. Either do the comb-forward Caesar style or make it go a bit more wild.

Here is an example of a comb-forward.

Yeah not if your 20, but the ones I posted I know a guy around 20 rocking that hairstyle and it looks perfectly fine. But I agree for the other one.

You wouldn't be hanging out with women in general.

These styles are good for receding hairlines, but only if the receding hair is still thick. I could've pulled them off a couple of years ago, but my hair's too thin now.

Yeah if the hair is to thin it won't work, that's why I keep mine buzzed. Once it's over an inch in length it looks awful.

I think guys with receeded hairlines can get away with any hairstyle.

The hairstyles that people use to cover a receding hairline can only be effective if the hair that they have left is on the thicker side. Otherwise, you will be able to see the individual's scalp through the thin hair strands even if it is grown out long.

I have rarely seen someone be able to grow out their thin hair long and then comb it forward to hide their receding hairline. Growing the remaining hair left in the crown area if it is thin to cover a bald spot is also not effective.

Those hairstyles are pretty bad. The sides are grown out way too long, in my opinion, and don't accentuate the facial features at all.

They'd all be better off with their hair buzzed short.

After you pass the Norwood 2 stage of hair loss, if your hair is buzzed short, the temporal recession is very visible. I see this with professional athletes who keep their hair very short.

I think for this reason, the best thing to do if you have hair loss that is past a Norwood 2, is to grow your hair out if it is thick enough, and comb it in a style that covers your temples.
