Hey, folks. Just thought I'd share something with the boys.
Since I've switched from Propecia to Proscar in fifths I've been having chest pains (actually gas pains) and tightness along the left side of my chest near the pectoral muscle. I've been taking magnolia bark extract, a known anti-flatulent and anxiety remedy that has been used in China and Japan for thousands of years. It also happens to be one of the main ingredients found in Cortislim and similar weight loss supplements. I take it with my split Proscar (around midnight).
This has really helped! I was taking Gas-X for awhile but I hear that it's not good to take OTC acid reducing pills for extended periods of time. I also get the added benefit of reduced stress and anxiety. I'm calmer now than I have been in ages. I'm seeing my hair loss for what it is and it's helping me cope with the "it gets worse before it gets better" thing.
Another thing that really helps is rubbing some Aspercreme on the area. It works better if you rub it in right after you get out of the shower and have toweled off. It's also odorless.
Hope this helps someone.
