Coconut Oil with Nizoral wash

This is great, I was looking at a website called hairloss-research.org and it claimed that coconut oil was great for the scalp in a number of ways. It is able to penetrate down inside the scalp and provide strong anti-viral/fungal/and most importantly anti-inflammatory relief. I apply and let sit until soaken all the way in, then wash it out with cool water and nizoral, leaves your hair feeling great and reduces shedding, great for counteracting the drying effects of nizoral, and providing a growable environment. Olive oil works well as well.

I found no benefit whatsoever from dumping either coconut or emu oils on my head.

They are perfect if you want to go for that 'I don't wash my hair ever and like to sleep in bus shelters' sort of look.

not even that, that would be cool...its more of a "you couldnt tell i was completely thinning and receding before, but now that my hair is a greasy, clumpy, nightmare with tons of scalp and miniaturized hairs prominently staring at you, you can surely tell" look.

Coconut Oil is part of my regimen, I can not say it grows back hair, but I can confirm, it does reduce shedding (by alot for me because in the first week of my regimen, I used coconut oil alone)

Goten574, I like your regimen. Do you know where you can get emu oil, other than the internet?

I like my regimen too but so far, it has not helped with regrowth at all, still it's a bit early, I have several more months to go. No, I don't know where you can buy emu oil from outside of the Internet, unless you can find someone who keeps emu's lol. I got mine from eBay, why not get yours online?

Goten has your hair loss slowed down at all?

Also, why did you drop Olive oil?

And for the rest, why can't you just leave the oils on at night and wash out in the morning?

I don't have much Olive Oil, I want to keep it for cooking, plus it's incredibly greasy.

I cannot say if my hair loss has slowed down, as I don't know how fast it would have progressed if I did nothing. From when I first noticed my hair loss in November 2008 to now, it's gotten a little worse but not much.

Sleeping with the oils on is not very pleasant, I prefer to keep them on for 3 hours andd then wash off. Do you think 3 hours isn't long enough?

No. You don't leave it in all day, at least an hour then shampoo your hair with cool water and Nizoral.

Interesting. How does your hair feel if you wash it with cool water only? Can fresh water wash the oil away?

With my experience of oils, no, water alone will not wash the oil away, it needs to be washed with shampoo.
