Coming off Finasteride

I've been taking Finasteride for years now and have experienced a lot of side effects to the extent where I have weaned down for the last 1 - 2 months from EOD to every third day. Its really messing with me sexually. I initially considered taking it for life as per Mercks recommendation because ' when you stop you lose the lot' fear fear fear. ****ing medical establishment at times can really screw 'customers'. They do paid 'trials', another word for experiments, on healthy people knowing that legally there's a good chance they're covered , to find drugs which have other health effects. If you complain about side effects its likely psychological, thereby they control your reality. If I get persistent side effects then others have taken HRT or v**** etc, again more ****ing drugs to correct other drugs effects. ****ing medical lot turn us into junkies. I digress as that's another issue.

I really doubt this is a lifetime drug so we will all have to come off it at some point. I wonder if it can be used on off ?

Can others tell their experience when they came off it please. Did side effects persist ? If yes,how long for? etc etc

I know this isn't really helpful but the only way to know is to found out for yourself. Everyone has completely different experiences with Propecia, it's just the luck of the draw. The likelihood is your side effects will disappear within a few weeks of stopping the drug. My personal experience, I still have the side effects I got from Propecia and it's been 6 months since I quit. You'll find others like that too, but the vast majority will return to normal if it's days, weeks or even months.

Hope they improve for you. I'm v reluctant to resort to taking v**** etc to reverse finasteride sides as it seems like a junkie loop offered by Docs, however well intentioned or questionable. I reckon it depends on how long its been taken for but could be wrong. Either way I really think I'm off it for a while and may well be for good.

Any others come off it, either for a while or permanently ?

did you notice decreased orgasm on finasteride? for me i was on finasteride 14 months and everything came back to normal after 3 months. i noticed almost all of the mainstream sides, only abnormality was very high increased in libido, and much lower body fat. i result that to finasteride raising testosterone levels but obviously decreasing dht levels

not really decreased orgasm it generally messes with me sexually though, less feeling etc, so its off limits for a while so things can check back in order... I hope and suspect they will eventually.
