Coming Up On 5 Years Of Finasteride Use => Generic Brand Change

Long story short I have been using Camber finasteride 1mg for the last ~4 years with very good results. I recently picked up my prescription and realized my generic brand was changed by my pharmacy to Aurobindo. 2 questions:

- Should I be worried about this particular generic or about changing generics after such a long time on one particular generic?

- I am thinking about alternating between Camber and Aurobindo every other day for the next month or two until I finish the Camber pills just to put my mind at ease. Would this make my transition to the new generic less likely to cause a shed and other negative effects?

Had the same issue. I just decided to upgrade to name brand propecia. May be my imagination but I think my hair is a bit thicker since the switch

For those wondering I called my pharmacy which is Walgreens and they were able to order me some Camber finasteride (the brand that I’ve been using for several years now.) I’m sure most if not all the generics work the same, but I just don’t want to risk it since I’ve had such great success.

Good luck everyone and if anyone has questions regarding my experience feel free to reach out to me.
