As a user of S5 spironolactone and Dr. Lee 5% spironolactone cream, I received a lot of messages from you guys asking me which one is thicker, which one smell worst etc.

I did some small studies.

S5 smell worst than Dr. Lee but S5 is thinner than Dr. Lee, it's easier to spread on the scalp and it's absorbed quicker.

I hope this helps!

Very helpful, thanks for putting in the time to inform.

They are all equally as effective? There is a nivea spironolactone cream or is that used as a comparison?

If S5 spironolactone is easier to apply then it would be more suitable for diffuse thinners.. wouldn't it be?

I used Nivea Soft Moisturizing cream for comparison.

Yes they are both equally effective (5% spironolactone is 5% spironolactone). I'm still surprised that Dr. Lee doesn't smell as bad as S5. There is a slight smell but you really have to smell it closely to detect anything. Dr. Lee spironolactone actually smell close to Nivea Soft Moisturizing cream.

S5 is a little bit thinner than Lee's spironolactone which I find it easier to apply.

That is correct. I found that S5 is easier to spread in the hair than Dr. Lee. Remember the difference is not that big but still.

I just ordered some of Dr. Lee's spironolactone cream. I have been very curious about this product for some time.

It is hard to find any evidence that this product does or does not work. Some people seem to think flat out that it does not and could not work, where as others seem to have success with the product.

Your opinion on its effectiveness to reverse or stop miniaturization would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

spironolactone definitely works. It thickens the hair and it stops shedding. After a few weeks you will see less hair when you shower.

That is interesting, I never realized there was a notable difference in thickness between s5 and Dr. Lee's cream. Personally, I think the smell from the s5 cream makes it unusable, especially when it will be applied right after minoxidil.

I know this post is old as hell...but I cant help but ask is there any reason why noone has tried to add a scent enhancer to the s5 cream would this compromise the chemical compounds? Such as a few drops of liquid lavender? Thanks in advance

I don't think s5 has any smell where as Dr Lee's did. It even made me doubt if it was spironolactone until I thought about who would be dumb enough to fake a spironolactone cream (given how easy it would be to be caught out)

I just recieved my order of S5 cream, and I must say one thing that shocked me was the size of the container its smaller than expected. However as for smell I would say it really doesnt have an odor if anything it smells kind of good. The S5 cream I recieved smells like a very light odor of vick vapor rub and a citrus orange smell. I really hope this cream will assit in halting my hairloss
